belated obituary: RIP San Fadyl of the Ladybug Transistor
"I am certain that next year will be a year to remember, unlike the past 47 years, which I'd rather forget." [Sam Fadyl, December 29, 2006]
"San Fadyl, drummer for the beloved Brooklyn indie-pop act the Ladybug Transistor, passed away today, April 26, in his Zurich, Switzerland home due to complications stemming from a lengthy bout with severe asthma." [Pitchfork]

The Ladybug Transistor is still playing though. In fact, they play Bowery Ballroom on May 24th with the Rosebuds.
