"The first shows go on sale Saturday, 19 May"

Crowded House have confirmed their first US tour since 1996. Starting on 4 August in Northampton, MA, the tour will take the band across country and back, ending on 12 September in Atlanta, GA. The tour is in support of the band's new record, 'Time on Earth', which will be released in the US on 10 July on ATO Records.

Crowded House's first new studio album in 14 years, 'Time on Earth' was debuted at the Coachella Festival last month, their first appearance in the US since 1996.

Ticketmaster and the Nokia Theatre websites both say that the opening acts are THE RAKES, THE PIGEON DETECTIVES.

I do hope the Rakes do another show in NYC while they're here. And when the crap is their new album going to be released stateside?

I'm an idiot. I was getting confused with the Happy Mondays. BV feel free to take these posts down.

You may have noticed that on the CMJ Web site announcing this concert, there is a photo of Crowded House with drummer Paul Hester. Who commited suicide in 2005. Maybe CMJ could use some factcheckers huh?
