Handsome Furs cancel tour, though album is out (MP3)
I was definitely excited for one or both of the Handsome Furs shows at Mercury Lounge this week, but unfortunately - they are not happening anymore - possibly due to border/VISA issues, though it is still unclear.
Oh well - it still should be noted though that their album Plague Park is out this week, and is definitely very interesting.

DAMMIT!!!!
I was sooo looking forward to this show and had gotten tickets some time ago already...what's worse is that I'm also missing out on Wolf Parade this August since that show quickly sold out! Arggh!

this sucks.
i was really excited for this show. hopefully they will get to reschedule these shows sooner than later (and not at the same time as the sunset rubdown shows in september).

Hmmm it seems that the shows for LA and Chicago in June and July, respectively, are still on their schedule...
I certainly would hope they can find time to stop by the East coast.

Woof! I bought my tickets almost two months ago, and like Eric, couldn't get Wolf Parade tickets either. Lame, I'd follow Dan Boeckner to the ends of the earth. His tats are sweet!
