As you can see in the below picture of Ryan taken May 15, 2007, he hurt his hand.....

Without going into all the gory details, let’s just say it’s got to do with a skateboard, a 12-foot bowl, and a now-torn ligament. This is NOT anywhere near as bad as the Liverpool accident from a few years back, though...Ryan expects to be playing guitar again soon.

For now, enjoy Neal Casal playing an excellent (if right-handed) Iommi to Ryan’s lighter-weight-and-fringeless Ozzy.

On September 1, 2007, Ryan Adams and the Cardinals are playing Moe's annual music festival...

The Eighth Annual moe.down will be held August 31, September 1 and 2 at the Snow Ridge Ski area in Turin, NY. moe.down is an annual party for moe. and its fans. The band will perform a total of six sets throughout the weekend. Early Bird Tickets are on sale NOW through moe.ticketing. Tickets are also available through Ticketmaster and online through Snow Ridge, at the Snow Ridge Box Office, or by phone at 315-348-8456. Buffalo fans can pick up tickets at Terrapin Station,1172 Hertel Ave, Buffalo NY.

There are a limited number of Early Bird Tickets. They will be on sale until they run out or June 1st, whichever comes first. A limited number of tickets will then be $95 until they are sold out or until August 12th. Tickets after that be $110.

In addition to moe., this year's performers include Ryan Adams and The Cardinals, Medeski Scofield Martin & Wood, Amos Lee, Strangefolk, Meat Puppets, Al & the Transamericans, Ha Ha The Moose, State Radio, Ryan Montbleau , The Brakes and Acoustic Forum. More bands will be announced in the coming weeks.

The moe.down promises three days of music, camping and fun at the Snow Ridge Ski Area in Turin, NY. The site is about an hour northeast of Syracuse, at the edge of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. Ski lifts will be open, so bring your mountain bike!

The Brakes playing this show are not Brakes Brakes Brakes that are playing Mercury Lounge with Pela.

No matter to me, but perfectionist that you are, BV, well, check the typo.

This creative relationship goes back for some time now, but a couple of more obvious examples, would be, their duetting (live) on Crow's 'If It Makes You Happy,' in both 2002 and 2004.

More recently, as you noted, it's on his new album, and that would be on the song 'Two.'

This is a great listen. I also strongly suggest people dl a few of shows from last summer and fall. Ryan has never sounded better imo. Also I posted Ryan covering Alice in Chain's "Down in Hole" from one of these recently shows when his hand was injuried.
