Mystery Jets cancel tour due to VISA problems too
This is now the third post in a row related to VISA issues: Handsome Furs & M.I.A., The Maccabees, and now the Mystery Jets are also cancelling their tour - that includes their Joe's Pub gig, and the June 2nd show at Bowery Ballroom.
The Bowery show will still happen with openers White Rabbit and Vampire Weekend (a stereogum and L Magazine band to watch and hear), but Dansettes and Aeroplane Pageant were also added to the bill, AND the price was slightly reduced. If you already bought a ticket you'll get a drink ticket at the door to make up for the difference. I suppose refunds will also be issued to those wanting to go that route.

Was looking forward to seeing Mystery Jets show, but if White Rabbits wind up playing a longer set, I won't be too upset.

bah, who cares about the Mystery Jets, wish they'd take white rabbit with them, it's all about Vampire Weekend.

Crap, I was really looking forward to seeing the Mystery Jets again. I thought they were really good when they were at Mercury last year.

Is vampire weekend posting about themselves/hating on other bands, getting old to anyone else on here yet? This looks look a totally sweet show. Count me in.

I'll be playing the Bowery show with the Dansettes. It'll be my last show in NYC (for *real* this time!). So far as I know they are still looking for my replacement.
They said they would give me a drink ticket and reduced admission to see Vampire Weekend & White Rabbits in exchange for playing the show...ummm, hey wait a second...

Come to Fontana's to see the Star Spangles, Arbor Day, the Visitors and Pash. Forget all other shows.

Make sure you get their early for Aeroplane Pageant. This lineup is solid top to bottom.
