NYC "Pop Fest" happening now & this weekend ---- BMX BANDITS TODAY
BMX Bandits is happening like any minute at Cake Shop (they're always running late though). This weekend is the NYC Pop Fest - basically a bunch of shows at different venues.....
"Highlights include Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, Bunnygrunt, Pipas, caUSE co-MOTION!, Human Television, Pelle Carlberg, Dear Nora, Ballboy, a performance by Michael Grace's post-My Favorite project the Secret History, and a rare appearance by longstanding Scot-poppers BMX Bandits." The Secret History was amazing- definitely one of the NYC bands to watch in the coming year. Ballboy was good, although their set suffered from too many slow songs when the crowd seemed to want a little more oomph. And the Ballet wins the most improved live act award; the addition of the drummer transformed the band into a live powerhouse.
Anyone going to the dance party tonight?
