stream the new WILCO -- Brooklyn presale sold out

Blue Sky BlueWas anyone lucky enough to get pre-sale tickets to the Wilco show at Warsaw? If not, there's still waiting on line this Saturday. The new Wilco album Sky Blue Sky isn't actually out until May 15th, but AOL is streaming it now.

Posted by Qbertplaya | May 9, 2007 10:12 AM

as usual I couldn't get a ticket. did they even release any? Oh, does anyone have an extra they are willing to part with?

Posted by AC | May 9, 2007 10:13 AM

what a joke that was to try and get wilco tix. I'd say they sold out in less then 30 seconds. you'd probably have a better chance of getting tix at irving on sat but in this day and age who the fuck wants to wait in line for tickets?

I got a pair!

The album is streaming on their website for the past few months on and off. Don't go to AOL.

I think it sold out in less than 10 seconds...or so it seemed

Posted by j | May 9, 2007 10:21 AM

That pre-sale was a joke. WTF!

Posted by Jim C | May 9, 2007 10:29 AM

what presale? i got in right away and was told no tickets available..

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2007 10:40 AM

Pre-sale in which one gets no tix = "Joke"

Pre-sale in which one gets tix = "Best Pre-Sale Ever"

Last I checked the Warsaw is pretty tiny....

i needed that presale

i cant go on saturday

damnit

anyone have any to sell

Posted by Sruly | May 9, 2007 10:42 AM

Yea, I think tickets were gone in what seemed like 10 secs. Does anyone know how many were released? For a fan sale, this is ridiculous. Email addresses and being on a fan club list are absolutely not enough anymore. Happy hump day.

so disappointed...i rushed to work, ignored everyone, got my coffee and my credit card out..open two firefox tabs, refreshing each at different intervals...at 10:00:05am got in to the order page. chose 2 tickets, hit continue...not enough tickets available..sigh..maybe if i had only gotten myself a ticket. spurned by unselfishness again.

anyone know how many will be available on saturday?

Someone told me that Warsaw is going to have the bulk of the tickets and not Irving so looks like its Warsaw Fri night for me.

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2007 11:10 AM

Look, I would be happy to see them at Warsaw and all--and I too was shut out despite getting in within a few seconds--but if you are really considering sleeping out in line on Friday night, I have a much better suggestion for you. Buy a ticket for the still not sold out show at the Pines Theater in Massachusetts the Sunday before Warsaw. Get some friends, rent a cheap car, make the three-hour drive, then sit on the lawn at the front of the stage (it's general admission) and enjoy better sound and a better atmosphere then you'd ever get at Warsaw. There's no kilbasa, I'll grant you, but there's also less hipsters who likely don't even own Mermaid Avenue or AM, let alone Still Feel Gone, and that's always a good thing, right?

i had the easiest most pleasurable experience and got two tix and was using my slow work computer. guess good karma of preordering the wilco dolls and the vinyl from the store last week helped!

Tickets go on sale Sat at 1pm, right? Are you camping out?

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2007 12:00 PM

That guy Matt is right; that Pines place is pretty sweet and will no doubt provide a MUCH better atmosphere than Warsaw. And there's tickets left

Buy some Zywiec and kilbasa, hop in a rented car with your buddies, and make a trip of it.

Anon 12pm-Yes i am going to be camping out at Warsaw cause Irving is not going to have many tickets. Most are at Warsaw.

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2007 12:09 PM

who's wilco?

Posted by waiting | May 9, 2007 12:15 PM

that sucked. I was in there at 10:01 and seriously it claimed to be sold out. This was one of my top 5 most disapointing ticket experience of all time.

Posted by dre | May 9, 2007 12:29 PM

i got on at 10:00pm like everyone else and actually got tickets. wtf.
god was on my fucking side this morning.
first time i tried to buy a presale ticket was radiohead at the theater at msg and that shit was HOPELESS.
i really have no idea who i got through.
fuck yeah!

Posted by Marvin | May 9, 2007 1:13 PM

I have six pairs.

Posted by Steve-O | May 9, 2007 1:50 PM

There were only 100 tickets on pre-sale. I wonder who were the 50-100 lucky bastards.

does anyone know what is total capacity of the venue?

Posted by Amauri | May 9, 2007 1:57 PM

what a bunch of bullshit! i did the same thing this morning. got to work, click it at 9:59 and i got in to the part where i can choose my tickets and of course...nothing!! how is that even possible? anyways, camping out seems a little ridic. but good luck. i'll see them on the next tour.

Posted by dennis | May 9, 2007 2:53 PM

HOW IS IT POSSIBLE?

What is wrong with you people? Do you have any idea how big the difference was in the number of tickets available versus the number of people trying to get them? If they had 50 tickets for presale, and 500 people tried; do the math!

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2007 3:04 PM

Wow, people are sleeping out for tix?

Posted by anon | May 9, 2007 3:17 PM

I got tickets at about 10:15. I was on the site exctly when they were released (started hitting f5 at 9:55) but even when I got to the ticket page I got an "we do not have enough tickets" message. Knowing that simply wasn't possible, I hit refresh for about 15 minutes and got through. Next time just be patient- if you have the time of course. Thankfully I was slow at work this morning.

Missed out on Hammerstein. Missed out on Warsaw :(

Can't line up for tickets at the box office because I'm in Australia.

Sucks.

Posted by James | May 9, 2007 7:18 PM

DEFINITELY worth driving to see them. I've seen them several times in nyc and several times outside of the city, and with one exception i've always had a better time seeing them outside of nyc.

Posted by Anonymous | May 9, 2007 10:42 PM

Anyone know how much tickets are for the Warsaw show?

Posted by Anonymous | May 11, 2007 10:01 AM

The tickets for the Warsaw is $35, good luck to those camping out for the BOX Office.

Posted by chris | May 11, 2007 1:56 PM

Yeah, I just drove by Warsaw and then onto Irving to scope it out. Already people at both camping out. I asked at Irving and they said they only got a small amount of tickets and the number of people already out there is more than they got so Irving is out. Warsaw got the bulk and so that is where I am on to. Good Luck to everyone

Posted by Anonymous | May 11, 2007 2:28 PM

Hey 2:28. Nice selfish ploy.

I had sense enough not to trust your post, but as someone who DID drive to both venues, there was no one at either a full 14 hours later and there was a 50/50 split between the venues for tickets.

I was going to be one of the first in line either way, but come on now.

Posted by Anonymous | May 12, 2007 2:15 PM

how early did you have to get there to get tix?

Posted by Anonymous | May 12, 2007 2:48 PM

i showed up a little after 1030 at warsaw and there were still a fairly large number of tickets left even after i got mine.

Posted by Anonymous | May 12, 2007 3:50 PM

I got there around at 8:45 am and was about the 20th person in line, with their eventually being around 200 or so after me
