Some have wondered if Brooklyn's Takka Takka would go the label-less route of their friends in Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.

Takka Takka

The answer is "no", but I don't think that's a bad thing...

Ernest Jenning Record Co. will re-release their debut LP, We Feel Safer At Night, as a deluxe edition which will include the three tracks from their 2007 EP, Talk Faster.

In addition to re-releasing Safer, the band will be hitting the studio in summer/early fall to record their sophomore album, also to be released by Ernest Jenning in early 2008.

This means Takka Takka and O'Death are now label-mates.

Takka Takka's next show is opening for The National at South Street Seaport.

Christ, how do Takka Takka have a following? I caught them opening up for Pela. They're predictable, boring and just plain terrible.

Takka Takka is the only band I regret for spending 7 bucks last CMJ.
