I agree that this is a weird first single. But hey! Spoon can do whatever they want, they've got a great album to back it up.

loving the new album except for that track above. otherwise, there is no way that is the video or the single. i would think the first song has the catchiness

i think spoon (and by spoon i mean britt) are going down a danger road of trying to be unique and different and it may not work for them this time around. which is unfortunate, cause they're a great band

I didn't think I would like the album after first listen but its growing on me. It pretty much sounds like Girls Can Tell,...Moonlight and Gimme Fiction combined, which its cool because, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" but I wish they would've challenged themselves with this album rather then stay with their current formula. Maybe if they sorta brought back they post-punk sound they began their career with and mixed it with their current sound and arrangements . . . . . I dunno, I kind feel the same way about Interpol - from what I heard it sounds like classic Interpol but I think they're not progressing.

LA Hipster, you've got to be joking.... Let's revisit this subject in 6 months. If anyone even remembers who the Black Angels were, I'll buy your next 8 ball.

No this album is great. Like a Wilco/Clash album. "The Ghost of You Lingers" is haunting. It opens and closes like a superstar. Best or second best album this year.

This song really caught me off guard- but what else should I expect from Britt & co.?
Anyone else that tried this would fail miserably. How? How does this work, and brilliantly at that?
I don't get it, but I have long since given up trying to understand. I'll just sit back and enjoy the show.
