Wes' Weekly Hip Hop News Roundup (May 16, 2007) -- Ghostface/RZA played High Line Ballroom
How was the Ghostface (& RZA) & Spank Rock show at the High Line Ballroom last night? Angry Citizen took some pictures....
Ghostface @ RZA @ Highline Ballroom - May 15, 2007 (CRED)

NY Magazine went to the 24-hour "Rapathon" in Harlem.
Tickets are on sale for Method Man and GZA at Webster Hall on June 5th. Tickets still on sale for Rakim at Southpaw.
Our favorite Joell Ortiz was added to the KRS-One show at Irving/Fillmore on May 20th. KRS-One is also playing Prospect Park in Brooklyn this summer.
We have a pair of tickets to give away to the Devin the Dude show at Knitting Factory this Friday night. Want them? E-mail BVCONTESTS@HOTMAIL.COM (subject: Devin), and let us know who the best hip hop act you ever saw live was. One winner will be picked at random. Include your first and last name for guestlist purposes.
Dres of Black Sheep, Emily King, Ralph McDaniels and El Michels Affair were added to the 3rd Annual Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival.

damn, what songs did rza do when he came out with ghost? i cant go to sleep?
Posted by Anonymous | May 16, 2007 11:33 AM
he came out right when ghost was finishing his set. rza spit a couple of lines of wu-tang clan ain't nothin to f' wit. ghost even looked surprised that rza was there. it was just nice to see them there together, but ghost only performed about 6 songs, which was really sad considering it was an interlude between spank rock's set.

it was the hot shit
Posted by Anonymous | May 16, 2007 11:53 AM
yeah, Ghost didn't perform many songs. But he was never billed as the headliner so I figured we would get a truncated set.

i still cant believe ghost was opening for spankrock...ghost is one the best rappers right now and spank rock is garbage. they should have been opening for him

that was such a good party. i danced the titties out my shirt.
Posted by jed | May 16, 2007 12:53 PM
jed, i enjoyed your titties. but licking your middle fingers and then flicking everyone in the crowd off seemed a little distasteful.
Posted by ass ass titties titties ass and titties | May 16, 2007 1:44 PM
Yeah Tittie Girl - them flap jacks kept comin' out. You need some support. Next time jus' leave them out and stop teasing. Your shoes were wack too. Too bad Spank and crew can't figgure out how to do Touch Me and Bump without Amanda.

I'm just surprised you didn't put your pocketbook down jed, looked uncomfortable.
When that other chick sat on Naeem, did she sit on his face?
Posted by hamgravy | May 16, 2007 4:24 PM
