The first show wristband situation was a disaster. At first they announced 250, then changed it to 100. In the end they only gave out 10-15 wristbands and told everyone else to go home. Why announce the free show to the public and then only give out 10 passes? The first show ended up being only their friends (which they have every right to do) instead of fans.

Holy shit that's a link to my photos! I guess we're even now, BV, because this website is where I read about the show to begin with. Thanks for the tip and linkage.

Fun, intimate, dark, and over too soon. But at least the girls got to go again.

I wouldn't call it a show, because they only played 5 or 6 songs, and it definitely had a different vibe as they were making a video or whatever.

I was among the 100 or so people who got one of the 10 wristbands for the first show. Seriously, who thinks they only gave out 10 wristbands? While I'd love to think of myself as a friend of the band, I'm just a schmuck who showed up early enough to get in.

Brian Chase even came out with a bag of EPs and greeted those of us milling about on S. 1st before the show. What a nice guy.

Well at least the poster above Anon 4:41pm is acutely self aware enough to realize he is a schmuck. I would add total idiot and loser with too much time on his hands as well.

the 10pm show was by far one of my favorite concert experiences to date. the distribution method of passes to free shows is always afflicted by the complaints of disgruntled fans whose schedules didn't permit them to arrive in time, but everything was handled at the venue as the announcement described it would be. Kind neighbors of Glasslands even invited complete strangers (to the displeasure of their cat) into their home to wait.

thanks YYYs!

P.S. better luck next time to anyone who felt shortchanged

Umm the above poster actually is wrong. I did not bother to go to this event but the announcement first stated 250 passes for each show and then it changed to 100. Apparently they only gave out 10 for the first show at least. So while she is obviously happy to have gotten into the show, they in fact did not handle the ticket distribution as they said they would. So anyone or at least anyone who was within 100 people in line had every right to be disgruntled. As well if she claims this is her favorite concert experience(although at 6 songs that is not really a concert) I would suggest she gets out more.

I'd have to agree with the other disgruntelites... there were likely no more than 40 people in front of me when we began to form our psuedo-line at 3:30 or so. Between all of the line-cutters (F you people) and the fact that they likely didn't hand out 100 bands, I felt rather shortchanged to be sent packing...
