As described before these will be in smaller spots, more exclusive, more intimate. this will be more like quality time, our time, just you and the band sitting by a fire on a tropical beach late at night being serenaded with love songs. these shows are for people that are into our weird stuff. Some songs will have vocals, others will be instrumental. Already here in Europe, people have called us liars for playing songs with vocals during our so called "instrumental" shows, so be it. We lie and are proud of it. Anyways, if you'd like to come to one of these shows, then dress to impress, wear a suit, a tie, a dress, your granma's broach or whatever you feel good in... BUT PLEASE leave your cargo shorts, birkenstocks and t-shirts at home, this is not that kind of party.

ALSO:
US Preferred Seating Code - Order "The Mix-Up" From iTunes on Tuesday!
Purchase the new album from iTunes and gain access to preferred seating for their soon to be sold out summer US tour!

The Summer US Tour is not to be missed. Most cities will host multiple night stands that include the classic Beastie Boys set that fans have reveled in for years, as well as "Gala Events," exclusive instrumental shows that feature the full band performing songs from "The Mix-Up" as well as reworked versions of catalog favorites.

Purchase The Mix-Up from iTunes, and receive a code that gives you access to preferred seating for the upcoming tour dates, INCLUDING THE SHOWS THAT HAVE ALREADY SOLD OUT!!! Special blocks of tickets have been set aside specifically for this promotion.

You must act quickly in order to qualify for this promotion. Offer expires July 3rd.

Please note: Tickets for this promotion are limited. Purchasing the album through iTunes does not guarantee tickets.

sick although a smaller venue would be a lot cooler

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2007 10:16 AM

so what is this another 60 dollars? Anybody know what the pricing is going to be like?

So that's ILL. Those of us who were fans enough to hunt down (or get legit-style) the presale password for them NYC shows got GA tixxx. Now any chode who plunks down iTunes money for the downloads might be able to get'm selves some fancy pit tix. Ass. Looks like the pit will be filled with those who weren't on their ticket game or bought them second hand.

So what's a Man to do? Buy the downloads (I'd rather a CD please) get some 'preferrred seats' and scalp the other ones. Do-able, but ill.

The Gala events call for proper attire; no t-shirts, no shorts; no birkenstocks.... I wonder if there might be seating for this?

Sick? more like an outrage. I love the beasties but who are they kidding.
I didnt think in my lifetime i would hear the words "exclusive" and "intimate" included in any mention of Hammerstein. That place is intimate like Spiderman 3 was a small indie film. I mean cmon. This show was supposed to be at the Supper Club which would have been amazing. This is ridiculous. The worst venue for this kind of show other than Madison Square Garden or Radio City. And dress to impress hahahahahaha, Yeah at a place with that many people i cant wait to see if they pull that off.
Lame. I'll pass.

They were going to play Studio B, but realized it was too small.

---what are you talking about you idiot. All the shows in NYC are GA. There are no fancy pit tix. Summerstage and MCCarren are all GA. Hammerstein is all GA except for the seating a mile away from the stage if you can call that perferred. I think they are really talking about the other places they are playing such as The Warfield and The Greek which is seating.

and no Studio B was never a real thing. That was a ridiculous rumour. The Supper Club was the place they were going to play.

You're all wrong. They were going to play at the grand ballroom at hammerstein

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2007 10:51 AM

Don't call me an idiot you twat-waffle. No one knows what the fuck they're gonna do until we get there. All they need to do is set up a fence with a couple of your troglodyte bredren manning the moat. And I don't give a sloppy fuck if you've been there before for whatever indie cock-rub hippie band and if it happened then or not. Alls I'm saying is they phrased it to be vauge enough where the possibility is open to a pit -- and if there is, it's a def. lame move. The Warfield and the Greek (both places I've been to quite often enough to know) are GA as well. There are some seats but not necessarily preferred or assignable. The pre-sale should have given early risers the pit tix (if they exist - that's the key here, if they exist; and if they do, this whole thing is ill. If they don't then never mind). If you have a source, present.

"You're all wrong. They WERE going to play at the grand ballroom at hammerstein"

--HUH? they are playing there you dipshit. That was not the place originally intended though.

anyone know what time itunes releases new albums?

"--HUH? they are playing there you dipshit. That was not the place originally intended though."

um no, the grand ballroom is different than the regular room at Hammerstein.

Also, they were going to play Studio B and still might, and the Supper Club.

sometimes you have to search by album name or a song title name for it to show up on release day. iTunes is annoying. here's the link

the new album sucks, they take themselves too seriously these days
go back to playing fun brainless music! then I'll pay whatever to see you in a small venue. if you haven't noticed they are playing instrumental stuff in NYC

Hey LiveJournalBeMyBitch,

What is a "twat-waffle"?

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2007 11:36 AM

"go back to playing fun brainless music!"

So, act like bratty teenagers/early 20-somethings again? Don't think so. The new album is great, grow up.

LiveJournalBeMyBitch, your use of ill is ill in itself. It's not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good.

Posted by Heynow | June 26, 2007 12:53 PM

So... does that mean his license is revoked?

"LiveJournalBeMyBitch, your use of ill is ill in itself. It's not bad meaning bad but bad meaning good."

Can't help it if you don't understand what context is. By the way, Celine Dion is bad.

twatwaffle is the new douchebag

Best post in this thread.

The new album is awful. I think we all agree on that. If they at least play some of their old stuff in the encore at the Gala crap the 65 bucks per ticket will be worth it

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2007 11:05 AM

i cant stand the GA section at hammerstein..i'd rather be up in the rafters then packed like a sardines in that mess.
