Beat Up Old Fellas = ART BRUT 47? ++ The King Left
DOWNLOAD: The King Left - The Storm in a Teacup (MP3)
DOWNLOAD: We are Scientists - Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt (MP3)

Someone swears to me that Beat Up Old Fellas are We are Scientists (aka Art Brut 47) - the same guys playing the Siren Festival in July.
Beat Up Old Fellas - 2007 Tour Dates
June 6 @ Luna Lounge w/ Nicole Atkins & The Sea and The Long Blondes
June 8 @ Maxwell's w/ Snowden & The King Left
June 9 @ Mercury Lounge w/ The Spinto Band, The Teeth & Bling Kong
Tickets are on sale for all three shows.
Snowden in on tour with Kings of Leon who are playing the Apple Store the night of the Maxwell's show.
The King Left just finished a popular residency at Pianos in NYC. In addition to the Maxwell's show, The King Left are also opening for The Long Blondes at Bowery Ballroom (who are playing with Beat Up Old Fellas at Luna Lounge who are playing with...). If Cloud Cult and Franz Ferdinand had a baby it might be the extremely catchy MP3 I have linked above.

Good find about We Are Scientist...hope it's true b/c I bought tix. At least the track from The King Left is solid so I'm looking forward to hearing them live. I heard good things about them from a few friends.

The show with The Teeth AND The Spinto band AND Bling Kong should be awesome if this is true. And even if it's not. Those bands are all great!

We Are Scientists are set to play three secret shows in the New York area next week, under the guise of Beat Up Old Men. The band chose the name after a toss up between that and Bikinis, Beer and Beach BALLZ.
The trio will play shows in Brooklyn, New York City and Hoboken opening for Snowden, The Spinto Band and The Long Blondes.
They changed their name for the shows in order to test run their new album live and will not be playing any songs from 'With Love And Squalor'. "It's a good way to see The Long Blondes for free" Keith Murray told NME.COM. "And we don't want people to come and ask for 'Nobody Move'".
We Are Scientists will begin recording their second album with Ariel Rechtshaid in California on June 11. "We're doing drums in LA and the rest in Sauselito" Murray revealed.
Beat Up Old Fellas will play:
Brooklyn, NY Luna Lounge (June 6) (w/ The Long Blondes)
Hoboken, NJ Maxwell's (8) (w/ Snowden)
New York, NY Mercury Lounge (9) (w/ The Spinto Band)

Just saw We Are Scientists! I think their identity was only known by a small percentage of the crowd - but they sounded GREAT!

That was We Are Scientists? Wow, they camouflaged themselves as tedious, generic opening indie band real well.
