Britta Persson

It was back in November that I first fell in love with Swedish singer-songwriter Britta Persson. I emailed her shortly thereafter to see if she had any plans to play NYC. Then she recently asked for my help in making it happen while she's in town helping us celebrate our independence from Great Britain, and so....

Britta Persson takes NYC
July 3, 7pm @ Rockwood Music Hall
July 6, 11pm @ The Living Room (unofficial Fujiya & Miyagi Seaport afterparty)

Both shows are free, but please show your support while you're there by throwing some cash in the tip bucket. Videos below....

it's too bad i'm going to be out of town for this. i write for a publication that's been covering her for the past couple of years (since she first appeared on the wild duet wit åström) and it would be nice to see her.

YAY! I've looked into getting her over here myself. I'm so excited that I'll be able to buy her music...which is impossible to find.

dear wife re: bp's source of her ability to captivate - seems to me she's got god-given grace, you know, empowerment.

Impossible to find? Hardly. Hard to keep in stock? Yes, most certainly. Check it:

Thanks for the post and the videos, I hadn't heard of her before. I'll definitely try to catch one of those NYC shows.

Sure, you can probably buy her an aquavit. If you *really* like her, you can buy her dinner at Aquavit.
