but really, that's a horrible picture of the tattoo. that's the day i got the color done. it's all bloody and bruised. here's a recent picture. the tattoo is nearly 3 years old now.

Calling other people's tattoos 'unfortunate' is so obnoxious, particularly if you don't know the person. You don't actually have any idea why they made the decision to ink the things they do. Nine times out of ten it carries a lot more personality and meaning than you thought it did at first glance, or perhaps it carries no meaning at all and they simply like to decorate their body with things THEY think are beautiful or interesting.

Either way, it was their body and their decision, and mocking it via the internet because you think it was a 'regrettable' decision is like making fun of people for picking a major that won't get them any money: we all know you're just impotent and envious that you don't have the courage to do what you REALLY want to do with your life, too.
