Do we know what time Franz is supposed to go on?

Posted by Nick | June 5, 2007 11:08 AM

the rakes pigeon detectives take first priority that night

sorry franz

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 11:11 AM

already got my ticket on craigslist.
only 200 bucks!

Posted by hold it | June 5, 2007 11:21 AM

very punk rock.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 11:35 AM

The Franz show is for In The City Of New York badgeholders, no?

Posted by Willy | June 5, 2007 12:14 PM

no. the world just doesn't work like that.

FFFC members will get first priority for tickets, then there will be a public onsale

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 12:52 PM

when do the franz tickets go on sale!?

Posted by mike | June 5, 2007 1:16 PM

AS LONG AS BV IS AROUND THERE IS NO LONGER ANY REASON FOR 'SECRET' SHOWS TO EXIST IN NYC. CAN'T YOU PEOPLE KEEP THESE THINGS TO YOURSELF SO THE ENTIRE WORLD DOESN'T FIND OUT AND CREATE CHAOS/INSANE SCALPING/NO MORE FUN IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY? REALLY, IT'S NOT HARD. STOP TELLING BV EVERYTHING JUST TO GET THE 'JOY' OF BEING THE PERSON WHO INFORMED THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 1:28 PM

Penis!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 1:29 PM

What a cunt.

Posted by bob | June 5, 2007 1:37 PM

I couldn't disagree with you more, thanks to BV I now have access to "secret shows" that I never had before, not being an industry insider.

Keep publishing the secret show info bv and thanks so much for all the info!!

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 1:39 PM

any word on when FFFC members will getting info on the presale?

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 1:47 PM

yes, thank you so much, bv. i missed getting interpol tickets, but really appreciated the post. keep on keepin on.

Posted by kra | June 5, 2007 1:48 PM

Do not believe the guy posting above about FF fan club getting a presale first. This was only for Glasgow which was 2 shows at a larger venue. There has been no mention of the fan club getting tickets before the onsale and i am not sure it is gonna be the case. This guy above was speaking out of his ass and guessing

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 1:51 PM

to Anonymous 1:28 PM:

because only twats like you should be able to go to "secret shows"?

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 1:55 PM

"Anonymous 1:51" is talking out of his ass, the Ole Pry is the equivalent of the Bowery Ballroom (700-person capacity) and they offered FFFC members first priority, and then had a general onsale. These two concerts are in the same "secret show tour" category as the New York show, and the procedure for all of the secret gigs is the same.

suck a dick douchebag,
franz ferdinand management.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 1:56 PM

how do you know they go on at about 10??? i don't see that info anywhere.

Posted by Jones | June 5, 2007 1:58 PM

HAHAH 1:56pm. Sure you are the management, loser. You are obviously the geek fan club member above praying to god you get a jump on the tickets in advance. Unfortunately you are so very wrong in this case. They are not the same size at all. And as even a moron like yourself can see they played 2 shows in glasgow and are only playing one in nyc. Go drop dead you fool but keep praying they offer your lame fan club priority first even though it is probably not gonna happen.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 2:01 PM

interpol on at 10 tonight.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 2:43 PM

The Bowery website says it is closed for a private party tonight. I wonder if I should even bother to try to get tickets at the door.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 3:01 PM

I called Mercury and asked, they said no tickets are being released at the door...however they always say that for sold out shows and I always manage to get tix. My friend is on line now, says there's about 15 or so ppl there, so you might still have a good chance.

any updates on the ticket sale for franz?

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 4:26 PM

can anyone verify that interpol is going on at 10pm? BV, how do you know this?

Posted by Ben | June 5, 2007 4:58 PM

where ever the info about interpol coming on at 10 came from you can bet they will come on later than that. just hope they aren't as drunk as they were last time they played bowery. boy, did that not turn out so hot.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 5:28 PM

Franz should sell those tickets online during the Interpol show so they can spread the "secret show" wealth a little. The fans who were able to score Interpol tickets would be crushed but not too crushed.

Posted by e man | June 5, 2007 6:21 PM

holy shit that was the best concert i've seen in a long, long time. they played all old stuff except for three new songs, all of which rocked. thank you BV for tipping me off to the tickets!

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 11:35 PM

5:28 - they went on at 10:10. were not drunk. excellent concert.

Posted by Anonymous | June 5, 2007 11:40 PM

Great sound. Great setlist. Great show.

Posted by CN | June 5, 2007 11:59 PM

Great show tonight. Some pictures (including set list) here: http://vejgurl.sarahforums.com/coppermine/thumbnails/album=52.html

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:00 AM

Excellent show and my best friend and I got in for free at the last minute...sweet.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:25 AM

amazing set!!! Daniel almost struck me with his guitar too many times to count..

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 2:20 AM

Wow. Way to run home after the concert and make a post. You should have been staying out late, drinking face, and getting drugged out.

Anyway, when are these Franz tickets on sale?

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 9:28 AM

franz tix are up == who's got the presale code?

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 11:45 AM

On sale with a password -- someone come through, please!

Posted by Mike | June 6, 2007 11:48 AM

access code please...bueller? bueller?

Posted by MBF | June 6, 2007 11:48 AM

they are on sale and there is a password. i hate life

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 11:50 AM

So frustrating. Look how dependent we have all become.

Posted by Dan | June 6, 2007 12:02 PM

When do tickets go onsale to the general public

Posted by PM | June 6, 2007 12:04 PM

quick, someone find some kinda official franz message board. i can't seem to myself...

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:06 PM

Ticketweb says Thursday to the general public. Fuckheads!

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:07 PM

try franz fan girls. very unofficial and slightly scary (i can't even access it from work), but i would expect all of the posters to be fanclub members and hence with the password. bring the information back to the rest of us...

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:08 PM

Nope, even the fan club doesn't have it. And there's nothing on their board either.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:11 PM

try calling Franz's publicity contact? Chloe Walsh at Press Here 212.246.2640

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:11 PM

the fan club didn't get any info either.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:12 PM

Fangirls are gross. Besides, you need to register with that site to access it.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:13 PM

try wandering around Greenpoint to see if you can find Alex and ask him.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:14 PM

Or we can NOT have multiple people pointlessly bother the same person by phone... just a though. 12:11, thanks for the thought, but why don't you call her and get back to us? I'm working on it, too. Will let you know if I find anything.

Posted by Mike | June 6, 2007 12:15 PM

This is ridiculous. I bought the fanclub access. Now I can't log in. There's no info anywhere about the show and ticketweb needs an access code. Wonderful. I'm gonna cry if I don't get into this show.

Posted by Mike | June 6, 2007 12:16 PM

Mike, don't panic. NO ONE has the access code yet, so you can't be locked out of anything yet. Give it about an hour.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:19 PM

"12:16 Mike" is different from the earlier ones (me)...

12:16 Mike -- if you paid for fanclub access, you have a good case when contacting PR / management. Go for it and let us know if it works out?

Posted by Mike | June 6, 2007 12:20 PM

I bet you a dollar that this is some sort of fuck up because you know that we'd have the code by now if one existed. Could it be that "we" FF fans can actually keep a secret? Not a chance in hell....:-)

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:21 PM

Yea this is "Mike 12:16" Just gonna go by my screenname from now on. Ummm. I called them. They're getting in touch with Domino to see how to handle this. She told me to call back in 15 minutes when they know what to do so.. I'll give you all an answer then.

Posted by ButOneMike | June 6, 2007 12:25 PM

does the bassist from FF have a dog, and if so, what is its name?

Posted by Qbertplaya | June 6, 2007 12:27 PM

Mike, if you get us a password, we all owe you drinks at the show :)

Posted by Jonny | June 6, 2007 12:28 PM

it's not "eleanor," or michael or jacqueline or glasgow or greenpoint or villains or outsiders or fallen...

Posted by backscrubber | June 6, 2007 12:29 PM

Rakes show same night will be 100% better

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:31 PM

Posted by Amauri | June 6, 2007 12:44 PM

500 tickets in 12 mins? dang

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:52 PM

Actually as I was about to call they emailed me the pass. At that point I just raced to buy. I kinda feel bad giving the pass here but.. I think it made almost no difference. So... hopefully someone really will buy me a drink rather than give me a beating.

Posted by ButOneMike | June 6, 2007 12:53 PM

Do we think there will be a general public allotment going on sale tomorrow?

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:55 PM

There are errors in your form submission:
• This event is not on sale yet. It will be on sale on Jun, 07 2007 at 12:00 PM EDT. Please check back then.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 12:59 PM

Shit. I didn't know that was it when Mike typed it!

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:00 PM

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:01 PM

nevermind....its completely off of ticketweb now

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:10 PM

I hit add to cart instead of check out and got an error. Hopefully I'll have better luck tomorrow.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:13 PM

No, you will have even worse luck tomorrow. You probably won't even see the add to cart screen. Brokers will own that show.

Posted by james | June 6, 2007 1:33 PM

How will brokers own that show? Same thing as Interpol last night. Person who bought the ticket has to enter with credit card and guest all at the same time. Cant pick up tickets and then go outside. Have to go right in.Bowery was very strict on this. Brokers def did not own Interpol. Yes tickets were going on line for 200 bucks but that was just scummy people who had an extra ticket trying to make an extra buck. Pretty much the def of a broker but still

Does anyone know if guest percussionist Andy Knowles is still performing with the band? Will he be at Bowery?

check out the iTunes free single of the week. alex does backing vocals. canadian band, sounds good. franz in camden on dcfc tour was sort of boring, didn't do the same for me like the 1st album tour...
