I hate the suspense. I have a feeling that when I am finally driven by hunger from my desk, the password will be released.

Posted by ano | June 6, 2007 12:26 PM

Of course you don't have the password, BV. Otherwise, you would have shared it with us.

I keep trying to guess the password, but so far, no luck.

Posted by b.LOUD | June 6, 2007 12:59 PM

For a second I thought maybe this was a MySpace Secret show because it looks like the label has nothing to do with this and airfare plus eqipment, or if they rent, is not cheap.

The password is wowiezowie - thanks again!
How did you get the password?
Good luck tomorrow @ "high noon".

Posted by b.LOUD | June 6, 2007 1:04 PM

Thanks for the info people. These are going to sell out instantly...good luck everyone!

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:16 PM

HAHA 12:54, but I still like ff.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:19 PM

ummm or pavement, knucklehead

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:19 PM

Anyone know the Kings of Leon presale password?!? Quick!!!

Posted by anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:23 PM

Kings of Leon password? Yeah, it's "wesuckballs."

I hate it when people post stuff like this, but somehow, when I do it, I get some weird feeling of self-satisfaction. go figure.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:26 PM

"ummm or pavement, knucklehead"

dude learn your music history if you're going to criticize someone. spelled that way it's zappa/mothers.

Posted by Ted | June 6, 2007 1:30 PM

Ted, you mook
It is spelled that way for Pavement also but with a space but if you had any sense you would realize that for ticketweb and ticketmaster the passwords have to be one word.
I would bet good money for a band like Franz Ferdinand they were referencing Pavement and not Zappa
Dumbass.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:35 PM

Pavement's album is spelled "Wowee Zowee" and Zappa's song is spelled "Wowie Zowie"

How is the lack of a space relavent?

Posted by Ted | June 6, 2007 1:44 PM

I thought I read somewhere that Kings of Leon password was "KINGS". Chew on that one.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:51 PM

Ted's correct

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:53 PM

people who don't know things can be good people, but not when they act all indignant and think they know everything. anon 1:35, you called someone else a dumbass and you were factually wrong. for that i think you should remove yourself from any franz ticketing buying tomorrow.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 1:56 PM

this should get everyone excited.. 2 tickets are on ebay for 1,399.99 nice

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 2:00 PM

Cool, I just got two tickets second row, center!

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 2:11 PM

Cool, I just got two tickets second row, center!

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 2:11 PM

Anon 1:19 PM was owned.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 2:28 PM

"ummm or pavement, dumbass"

stupid fuckface.
i'm the one you called a dumbass.
i've only been listening to the Freak Out! for the past two weeks, i should know.
as anyone who's a Zappa fan should know.
and since when are passwords two seperate words.
you fucking idiot.
fuck out of here.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 2:41 PM

franz's myspace page just posted a bulletin saying the tickets go on sale at 9 AM FYI

Posted by jesse | June 6, 2007 2:42 PM

to "Freak Out!"*

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 2:42 PM

i don't get it.
let's say the Pavement albums WAS spelled "Wowie Zowie"
why the fuck call me a dumbass when there's Zappa song of the same name?
like i'm wrong or something..
jesus..
you're "lemme try and correct someone, that way i'll be on top for the day" attempt didn't pull through this time asshole.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 2:45 PM

knucklehead*

same difference.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 2:46 PM

if you read fran'z myspace post about the show, they make it pretty clear that they're referencing the pavement album.

looks like anon 1:19 can return to be being smug again.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 2:47 PM

if that's true, then

1) they missed spelled it.

2) it's a still a goddamn Zappa song.
and THAT song is spelled the way the password was.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 2:50 PM

FF just posted a message on myspace saying that tickets go onsale tomorrow, 9AM.

Posted by bill p | June 6, 2007 2:54 PM

misspelled*

jesus, my spelling's off today.
at least my logic isn't.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 2:54 PM

where'd that "knucklehead" come from? hahaha.
someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.
totally uncalled-for.

Posted by Mike | June 6, 2007 3:05 PM

Hmm,not to completely throw myself into the fray but reading these comments and looking at the post on the Franz site it seems a few things are clear

1)Anon 1:19 was actually correct in that the band was referencing the Pavement album which as we all know was a riff on the Zappa song. Even with the misspelling.

2)The original poster Anon 1:16 was wrong. Plus it is "FREAK OUT" and not "the freak out" so in fact you are a knucklehead and a dumbass

3)Ted is in fact a mook

4)seems as if all of the others were owned as well.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 3:25 PM

i corrected myself at 2:42pm
as on 2:41pm i meant write "the Freak Out! album"
but left out the word album.
like you NEVER leave out words or typo online.
fuck you.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 3:28 PM

meant to*

goddamn, i'm on a roll today. man..

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 3:30 PM

how much money will this be?

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 3:33 PM

yes you are on a roll, idiot. Now go away

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 3:34 PM

BOTTOMLINE

that 1:19 dickhead called me an idiot when the password "wowiezowie" (when you take the spelling of the two words into consideration) is a reference to the Zappa song and all i did was acknowledge that.
had the password been spelled "woweezowee" and i said "gotta love the mothers/zappa", then maybe "ummmm or pavement, knucklehead" would have made sense. but that wasn't the case.
sure, the band has the pavement record on their myspace page but that wasn't the password.
that's all i'm saying.
so everyone that can't see the logic in that
stop acting like an idiot and see things straight for a change.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 3:37 PM

Anon 3:25, Ted here. Apparantly it is a fact that I am a mook.

Here's the deal. Anon 1:16 makes a comment about Zappa after Wowie Zowie is mentioned. Whether or not it was a direct reference to Zappa or Pavement, there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON FOR HIM/HER TO GET FLAMED.

It is reasonable for a person to think that it was a reference to Zappa, which I think I proved in my earlier post.

Even if Anon 1:19 was correct that it was in reference to Pavement, which it very well could be, Anon 1:19's post is not justified and is out of line. We're all supposed to be enjoying music, right?

By your comments, you think it is ok to start a flame war over this. I'd love to hear your logic.

Posted by Ted | June 6, 2007 3:39 PM

feel the hate! (the pink slime grows beneath NYC)

Posted by Vigo the Carpathian | June 6, 2007 3:41 PM

3:34 haha
isn't it funny how the person that was factually correct all along is the one that gets fucked up comments like "go away"
why you can't see things my way, the logical way is beyond me.

it's a simple example of folly like that that embodies the evil in this world, and adds to it, in subtle way. regardless of the fact that you're just one person.
it's millions like you that make this world a bad place.
there's no logic behind it.

i'm gone.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 3:43 PM

"how much money will this be?"

Back on topic, if you mean the Franz show, tickets were/will be $25 each, plus fees. Full cost of a pair: $59.75.

Damn you people bitch a lot.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 3:45 PM

you guys are a bunch of homos, i mean really...who still listens to zappa unless you're a hippie or a hipster poser? WHO CARES WHAT THE PASSWORD REFERENCE IS FROM! go back to listening to your patrick wolf album and sucking on your thumb and shut up..

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 4:01 PM

What the hell is with all of the "homos" and "gay" cracks on BV? Seems like the white trash has finally discovered this blog. Sad.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 4:04 PM

If people starting complaining about the $25 ticket price, this blog will truly be a sad and pathetic place.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 4:24 PM

The is the nerdiest, most idiotic & moot argument I've ever had the misfortune to read on BV. Well done. You guys have outdouched yourselves.

Posted by Matt | June 6, 2007 4:26 PM

Hey all,
I just got back from Mercury Lounge as I was picking up tickets for another show and i asked them about Franz.
So passing on the info:
Do not worry about today's ticket sales. They were a very small amount in the range of 50 to 75 tickets. The bulk of the tickets are on sale tomorrow at NOON and not 9am like the Franz posting says.
So good luck to one and all

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 4:45 PM

is this what the franz ferdinand crowd is like? forget about it.

Posted by anon | June 6, 2007 5:25 PM

Alex Kapranos stole my volleyball net!

Posted by wowie zowie | June 6, 2007 6:12 PM

Fuckin' hipster scum!

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 7:11 PM

Tickets go on sale tomorrow at noon on Ticketweb to general public.

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 8:14 PM

how much $$ can i make reselling these things?

Posted by Anonymous | June 6, 2007 10:12 PM

You should be able to make a decent amount. I think I'll walk away with $350-$450 per pair.

Posted by Anonymous | June 7, 2007 11:05 AM

How do you usually sell the tickets? Craigslist? eBay? I know people who have gotten busted for scalping so I'm a bit concerned. Tips, please?

Posted by Anonymous | June 7, 2007 11:38 AM

are tickets sold out already?? it's 12:06 pm!!

Posted by Anonymous | June 7, 2007 11:45 AM

i refreshed until at noon till the order screen finally came up, i successfully entered the pass and chose 2 tickets. then the shit sends me to a waiting room only 2 minutes later to tell me that tickets are sold out. complete bullshit

Posted by Anonymous | June 7, 2007 11:48 AM

you can't resell these tickets unless you buy one for yourself as well. they're will call, which means you get no physical ticket to sell, and you have to show the credit card you bought the tickets with at the door to be let in. So the only way to resell these is to buy 3, sell 2, then meet the 2 buyers at the door and bring them in with you. kind of a hassle

Posted by Anonymous | June 7, 2007 11:55 AM

"are tickets sold out already?? it's 12:06 pm!!"

It's sold out in 10 seconds, you are thinking 6 minutes is enough?

Posted by Anonymous | June 7, 2007 12:07 PM

I'm not a scalper and I can think of two ways to resell these tickets without entering the venue yourself, so scalpers must know of at least five.

Posted by Anonymous | June 7, 2007 12:09 PM

and what would those two ways be?

Posted by Anonymous | June 7, 2007 12:11 PM

At Bowery, the outside dude checks IDs and the inside dude checks credit cards, so the names don't have to match. Charge the tickets, then cancel the credit card and give the canceled card to the buyer. Or use one of those gift credit card things. The buyer can use his or her regular ID.

I wouldn't post this publicly if I didn't think scalpers already knew this. I'm no genius and I figured it out :P

Posted by Anonymous | June 7, 2007 12:23 PM

you can exit the building to smoke provided you have a wristband..so I guess you can cut it off and give it to someone outside..
