KEREN ANN played Bowery Ballroom, Tel Aviv - on Tour

I knew there was something I wanted to go to last night....

Keren Ann in Tel Aviv, Israel - May 28, 2007 (CRED)
Keren Ann in Tel Aviv

No, not Tel Aviv - I mean Bowery Ballroom, but the Israeli born singer-songwriter did just play a show there (and I like the pictures). How was the Bowery show (June 4, 2007), or any of the other shows on this tour so far? Keren Ann's new self-titled album came out May 8th. Songs are streaming at her official site, and at MySpace.

No one in internet land seems to care that Bloc Party is having a secret show at Knitting Factory (since I believe they had their first real nyc show there years ago) with the Maccabees and the Noisettes. Just thought I'd let ppl know, Bloc Party has a radio show that morning and then is coming to the city.

anon 1:10am, sorry but i don't believe that one. Just cause they're touring together doesn't mean that bloc party are gonna show up.

I sure hope they don't at least.

Supposedly Maccabees are playing every show with Bloc Party, though I wouldn't be suprised if they pulled the whole, "let's have a silly alias" artists are doing lately and seeing they don't have a show that night it makes sense they might grace NYC again with their presence. Besides I heard it from a credible source...however I also believe it sounds feasible considering Bloc Party's schedule.

"Just cause they're touring together doesn't mean that bloc party are gonna show up"

Agreed, but Bloc Party did post a myspace bulletin about the pre-show happy hour, so they seem to be involved. Then again, they didn't mention that they'd be there...Though if they did, it wouldn't be a secret, huh?

omg bloc party at knitting!?

I do hope it's true...I loove the Maccabees so it won't be a total bust if Bloc Party doesn't play.

But what alias? Heypenny (the third act of the night) seem to be a real band: http://www.heypenny.com/
