Has anyone heard that Acid Mother's album? If so, which is your favorite track? I really like Nam Myo Ho Ren Ge Kyo, Pts. 1-9.

I just read the glowing review of Icky Thump in Pitchfork and I'm wondering if I'm the only one who thinks the album isn't very good, at least by WS standards. The title track is good, and St. Andrew has a VU thing going on which is interesting, and Rag & Bone is amusing... but overall I think this is the inevitable album in which they fall back on boilerplate formula. Personally I think 'Satan' is their best, but of course the two albums which preceded it are also great. I can't help but wonder if it's all down from here, though I'm sure they'll come up with some new tricks at some point.

Has anyone heard the Mooney Suzuki album? I'm curious if it's more in lines with their first two records (& EP) or the wretched "Alive & Amplified."

I previewed the Mooney tracks and thought they were God awful. I used to love seeing this band play but I'm not sure if I wnat to waste any more time and money on them.

The White Stripes are just terrible these days.
Spend your time and money on someone who needs it.

Glad to see everyone gang up on the person with the dissenting opinion.

"One of us! One of us!"
