Martha Plimpton & River Phoenix

The Sasquatch-playing, Pipettes-opening blonde kid-duo Smoosh from Seattle will play a show with East Coast kids bands The Tiny Masters of Today and Cear Bears on Fire at Southpaw on SunDAY (June 3). Martha Plimpton was just a kid when she was in Goonies, and she's hosting. 826NYC helps kids learn to read, and that's where all the money is going. More details below.....

If the line-up for our fundraiser this Sunday, June 3rd, wasn't awesome enough, we've just confirmed that Tony-nominated actress Martha Plimpton will host the show. Tickets are still available, so buy them now. All info below:

TINY SMOOSHY SUNDAY ON FIRE, an afternoon all-ages rock show with Smoosh, The Tiny Masters of Today, and Care Bears on Fire. Bring the whole family to this afternoon concert and be prepared to be blown away. BUY TICKETS HERE.

Southpaw, 125 5th Ave., Brooklyn.
1PM doors / 2PM show.
$25 adults / $10 kids (16 and under)
Awesome raffle, give-aways, and limited-edition T-shirt.

From what I have heard, he would likely still be alive if they hadnt broken up-she was a good influence on him. But if hadnt been doing drugs, she wouldnt have dumped him, so it goes round and round...

i really think if not for the drugs, they would have probably, stayed together 4 ever! that is the whole reason they broke up, in the first place. she was his first love, and you never forget your first! i think he would have married her. but, i guess i could be wrong. we will never know for sure. RIP rio... i miss you!
