YOU BASTARD! Thanks for posting this so that subscribers couldn't get the tickets.

Great. Real great. Sometimes you really suck, BV.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2007 12:38 PM

this is for jason, where did you get your tickets? Is there a number to call?

Posted by Ivy | June 13, 2007 12:42 PM

does anyone think the tix will still be limited even if you get email confirmation and you might need to go and pick up at one of the first two events listed instead of the last two?

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2007 12:44 PM

Shut up, anonymous hater above... sometimes YOU really suck! Being a member of the order of slackers who view BrooklynVegan during their lunch break is a much cooler club than whatever you belong to.

Posted by Beeeeeve | June 13, 2007 12:46 PM

Anon 12:44pm-IF you were able to get in and get reserved tickets then you definately have those tickets no matter what day of the 4 you go to pick them up. They are held for you. After those 4 days then they will give out the tickets that no one picked up.

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2007 12:57 PM

Criminey! Can't I leave my computer for just a few minutes? Thanks anyway for the info - will have to wait for next week's mad rush.

Posted by drewo | June 13, 2007 1:17 PM

Drat. Work interfered and I'm now ticketless. Will there be more?

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2007 1:27 PM

From the email:

"Oh, and don't get discouraged if you aren't one of the first 500 subscribers to win. We'll have another giveaway via the River to River website on June 20th at noon. This is just our gift to you all for being such dedicated readers. Thanks! "

Yeah I clicked via BV at 12:48,

Posted by Kap | June 13, 2007 2:04 PM

how many more tickets will be released on June 20th!?

Posted by Anonymous | June 13, 2007 2:07 PM

Don't worry. Battery Park is a huge place. Same thing happened last year when Belle and Sebastian played 4th of July. River to River gave away tickets online then they quickly ran out of them online. A couple days later they announced they'd be handing out the rest of the free tickets at specific starbucks locations and designated times. Two per person. I waited in a line that wrapped around the block that moved quickly once they started distributing tickets at their designated time. Almost everyone who was near me got tickets. You just have to get there about an hour early. Battery Park is a big place. Of course minutes later these "free benefit concert" tickets were on craigslist for sale. Things got ugly at a few of the starbucks locations for people who went ticketless that Belle and Sebastian later apologized for.

The biggest challenge is not getting the tickets, it's getting to Battery Park early enough to wait in line to secure a good spot on the day of the concert.

The year they had the Yo La Tengo/Malkmus show we got there too late and ended up having to watch from the sidewalk outside which wasn't bad at all. We were closer to the stage than alot of the people inside the park.

Posted by Chris | June 13, 2007 4:09 PM

The acoustics at Battery Park suck.

Posted by Snarky McSnarkerson | June 13, 2007 4:21 PM

Well good thing the show is FREE you shithead. Then you really cannot complain can you

Thanks for the link. The main river to river site is a disaster.

Posted by mp77 | June 20, 2007 12:05 PM

It sounds like we have to go to one of these other events to pick up the tickets. Very troubling for me as I don't live in the city, and now will have to make an extra trip.

Posted by Charles | June 20, 2007 12:21 PM

do not go to living room for your tix.. i called, they are hosting the show at the world financial center, not distributing tix at their place.

Posted by Anthony | June 25, 2007 2:51 PM

is anyone going to pick up their tix tonight? It says, " The Living Room - Starring Martha Wainwright, Chris Thile & More
Wednesday June 27 • 5-7PM ", but on the main website it says 7pm?

any one have any clarification?

Posted by jkov | June 26, 2007 1:28 PM

I'm going tonight to pick up the tickets. The info e-mailed with the ticket says the Living Room show is 6PM to 8PM, the river to river festival site says the show starts at 7PM. I'm equally confused and hope it's not too much of a hassle.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2007 1:50 PM

Ticket pickup is from 6-8 pm at the World Financial Center. The show begins at 7 pm.

Posted by Anonymous | June 26, 2007 4:54 PM

I plan on buying tix from someone tomorrow. Could anyone please tell me what the tix look like, so I'll know if they are the real deal.

Posted by wondering | June 29, 2007 12:03 AM

Tickets are 2 1/2" x 5", large River to River logo on top, greeny, bluey, with orange and a red "admit one" arrow and "The Fine Print" on the back.

How much are you buying for? Maybe I'll sell you my two cheaper!

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2007 12:48 AM

If anybody has extra tickets and is willing to sell them for less than $20 each, please let me know. I was at my high school graduation practice when the tickets were onsale, and was unable to get to a computer in time.

Posted by Mat | June 29, 2007 9:40 PM

i'll take one for 25 if anyone has it
