They certainly were. The cops were all over the place to make sure the bboys and girls of all stripes and colors got back on that subway from whence they came. Fuck DUMBO.
Had Fat Marty not been present at the event I'm sure the police would have rounded up the people walking back for suspected gang activity. Fuck the police, too.

This was an incredible event. The huge crowd was great & appreciative, the weather was perfect, and the music was phenomenal. I arrived at 4pm, was there for hours, and not once did I hear even a cross word from anyone. I've been to hundreds of concerts all over the country and elsewhere, and not much can compare to seeing Ghostface under the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset. Kudos to the organizers who put this on, a job well done!!
"Yeah! From the home of the Dodgers, Brooklyn squad!"

this was one of the best live festivals i've ever been to. i was there from the start... 1 pm to 8 pm. yes, it's kind of crazy to stand there for that long, but most artists were fantastic and the crowd was appreciative the entire time, so it made for good times.
highlights: pack fm encouraging the few people (he was the first on, so there weren't that many watching) to gather round him as he rapped from the middle of the lawn; heltah skeltah (!!); pumpkinhead as hype man for poison pen (seriously, should have been the other way around); the mayor attempting to rap a verse; and, of course, ghost himself, who is never a disappointment.
downsides (there always are): emily king's performance (wtf was she doing there? i smell label politics); cappadonna rapping more than ghost did; dres' set (kind of meh).
otherwise, everything was just right. great time overall, am looking to go again next year.
