I won't hold it against them too much - after all they did just play a smaller show at Bowery (photos & mp3s above), and are still playing a free show in NYC on July 11th, but...I wouldn't go see Spoon at Roseland on October 20th. Would you? I guess someone would, or they wouldn't be playing there. Presale for that show, and new ones in LA, Minneapolis, Vancouver and Toronto, HERE.

it's true- the sound at roseland is awful, and the sightlines are almost as bad. go see them for free instead and save the 20th for a better CMJ experience.

Seriously, just a month or two ago you could have seen this band at Stone Pony if you didnt get tickets for Bowery. Plenty of parking if you're willing to make a drive and plenty of tickets the day of. Stone Pony for indoor concert is much smaller than Bowery. When i saw the show you could have been 2 feet away from Britt and you didnt even have to squeeze ahead.

Roseland ticketholders really missed the boat.

Yes I do, Jim Eno, the co-founder and drummer of Spoon. No relation to Brian Eno. Britt Daniel and Jim Eno are the only names you really need to know since most of the other bandmembers have changed throughout the years.

I'll see them for FREE @ Rockefeller Plaza on July 11th, thank-you-very-much. Though, the CMJ gig does sound appealing because probably five more bands will be added, but if Spoon headlines, they probably won't hit the stage 'til like 2 or 3am cuz October 20th is a Saturday. So no thanks.
