Team Dresch - 2007 Tour Dates, new record in 2008

Team Dresch

Teach Dresch is back, and though their June 23rd show at Mercury Lounge show is sold out, there are still tickets for their show the day before at Studio B. They're also playing a free show in Philly and a few other places....

Why would they play in Park Slope? Are they lesbians? I like Park Slope, but it only has one music venue (Southpaw) which is all the way down on 5th (barely Park Slope). Not much musically happens there, especially no rehearsal studios.

I saw them @ Southpaw and it was like 95 all over again. One of the best indie rock bands ever and I was happy to see original drummer Marci back behind the kit.

Are they kicking everybody out before the Yo Majesty show at 11? They seem to be separate events. A shame, cuz Yo Majesty + Team Dresch x Queer Pride weekend = !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OMG

What's with blog comments in the last few weeks? It seems like no one knows what they're talking about anymore AND they're more aggressive then usual.

Saying that Park Slope is full of lesbians and has no venues is laughable. I'd say barring DIY-ish shows and the goddamn pool, Park Slope has more proper venues than Williamsburg at the moment... and better shows to boot.

Oops, I forgot about those two. I love Barbes, UH not so much, but mainly because I don't care for the musicians they book.

Why would you eliminate those venues? It is specifically those venues that have some of the best live shows around.

McCarren Park Pool is in Park Slope? But from all the previous griping about condos and trustafarians and jam bands, I got the impression that working-class people live near the pool.
