Wow, an unusually long 15-minute online wait time. Weird

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 10:05 AM

i haven't even seen a single ticket yet.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 10:08 AM

Long wait for crappy seats...the 300 section, middle rows. Not much of a presale.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 10:14 AM

My friend got sec 337 but put them back. Will be better ones tomorrow.

Posted by Craig | June 27, 2007 10:16 AM

I got sec 36. awesome seats! hate the venue though...

Posted by caris | June 27, 2007 10:18 AM

I got section 2! Sweet. Prices not too horrible either (compared to some other acts).

Posted by MD | June 27, 2007 10:20 AM

36? That's way in the back on the floor.

Wow, the cure is really suprising me. Kinda glad for them if they can do this well.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 10:21 AM

No GA, I just got a seat in section 2

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 10:28 AM

75 + charges per ticket "not too bad"?
you must have a better paying job than i do...

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 10:31 AM

I am very suprised that it was so difficult to get tickets after all that Morrissey misbooking talk. Are The Cure still really that big? Good for them. But it was a pre sale so you're going to get a lot of die hard fans online.

Maybe tomm will have better luck.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 10:45 AM

I will wait for the regular sale. Shitty tickets, and the fucking Cure didn't evne offer a presale for the fanclub

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 10:48 AM

My first pre-sale experience (not one for big shows) and I bought what I now realize are not great seats - section 406 - though this may just be what's available for $45.

Do you suggest I try again tomorrow? Not sure how the pre-sale works.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 10:48 AM

Presales only offer 10% of available tickets. They set aside a few from each pricing group. It is all random and not necessarily best available!

Posted by Craig | June 27, 2007 10:53 AM

i got section 102 row A but scrapped 'em when i saw the price

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 11:15 AM

got better seats for Muse and Morrissey during the presale.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 11:38 AM

Thanks for the info Craig - very helpful.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 12:06 PM

So not interested in seeing The Cure at MSG. Terrible venue and especially terrible for this band. Their heavy layered sound will just sound like mush in that place.
Something tells me after this show sells they will be adding another date in this area at a much better and smaller place

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 12:07 PM

I saw them at Nassau Coliseum around 10 years ago, and it was a fantastic show. I think they do well in a big venue. [Though smaller is better of course.]

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 12:16 PM

I got section 12 so I decided to wait for the regular sale as well.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 12:30 PM

i got great seats
i will be sitting on
Robert Smith's shoulders
go presale

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 12:34 PM

^^^^the sound will still suck

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 1:16 PM

Sound isn't that bad. He's just mad cause its pricey.

The size and price....that's bad.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 1:54 PM

I am the guy you are talking about Anon 1:54pm. I dont give a shit about the price you stupid fuck. Its not that expensive at all. No, the sound at MSG is terrible and for a band like The Cure it will be even worse. Muddy to say the least. Plus i know they are going to add another date at a much better place after the MSG sale so im waiting for that.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 2:04 PM

I was so caught up in the Morrissey cx show nonsense this morning (walked off last night, cx tonight, Fri?..I'll be posting as I know), 10:00 came and went! I figured I would give it a whirl at 11:30...what do you know...FLOOR SEATS. There really is not ryhme or a reason to the "art" of ticket buying.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 2:17 PM

My aren't we angry? Keep waiting for that mystery "other" show that never comes. You'll be the only stupid fuck without a ticket.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 2:24 PM

P.S. Cheap Fuck.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 2:26 PM

"My aren't we angry? Keep waiting for that mystery "other" show that never comes. You'll be the only stupid fuck without a ticket."

Not angry at all. Actually i am laughing at you. As for the other show, hahaha just like i waited on getting tickets for MSG for the stripes cause i knew they were playing somewhere smaller. Maybe i know some inside info you dumb piece of shit. I guess we will see wont we and please dont say i told you so when it happens. As well, even if they were not playing another show somewhere i still would not get a ticket for MSG cause the sound is gonna suck and its gonna be a bad show.

"P.S. Cheap Fuck."

Again you idiot it has nothing to do with the price. Get it through your head, The only cheap fuck around here is your mother.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 2:37 PM

Are we now scraping the bottom of the barrel that we have to dust off the old "yo mamma" jokes now? Thanks for the 80s flashback.

I have to agree with him. The sound will be muddy when you're on a shoe-string budget and you're forced to have to listen to it from 7th avenue with cup and ear to the wall of MSG. He's right.

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 2:47 PM

KO! He got you. He's going to have to do better than mother jokes and four letter words if he wants to comeback from that one. 2:47 much funnier.

Posted by Domanick from Bensonhurst | June 27, 2007 3:13 PM

we will sound great. so stop all this nonsense-
r.s

Posted by r.smith | June 27, 2007 3:49 PM

go to:
http://www.cure.net/

you will see that they are going to play a smaller show at nokia 0n 9/22/2007
no word on tickets yet

Posted by Anonymous | June 27, 2007 3:52 PM

Don't believe it. There is no cure.net. Just a blank screen if you go there. That's not even the official Cure website.

This is obviously the same person who was complaining about the sound quality at msg to cover up for his strict budget about buying tickets. My advice to him is to call ticketmaster. They might be able to work out a type of installment plan to pay off the MSG tickets.

Still waiting for that imaginary Cure show at small venue that he promised with his credible "inside" information.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2007 12:49 AM

Actually the guy is right cause i have heard the same inside word(I work in the concert business)about there being another show at a smaller place. But you can believe it or not and find yourself eating crow when it turns out he was right.
But i mean cmon guys, worse than the mother joke which actually was pretty funny was the fact that you keep boring us with the oh he cant pay for tickets stupidity.
Truth is MSG sound sucks inside. It is a well known and agreed upon fact. Even worse is when a band has a very dense layered sound such as The Cure. Hmm i do not seem to see many lists of great sounding places to see a show mention MSG.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2007 3:43 AM

Still doesn't change the fact that he put up false information with cure.net. Just to perpetuate his bad assumption.

Posted by germaine | June 28, 2007 9:12 AM

If they play Nokia then I will resell my MSG floor tickets. No big deal

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2007 11:14 AM

germaine said
"Still doesn't change the fact that he put up false information with cure.net. Just to perpetuate his bad assumption."

Why do you assume it is the same guy. Because they both are anon posters. Boy that is pretty dumb.

"If they play Nokia then I will resell my MSG floor tickets. No big deal"

They are in fact playing a smaller place and the problem is you have to get someone to then buy your MSG Floor tickets which will be a big deal. You will probably have to sell for less than what you paid and lose some money. Oh you also have to actually get a ticket for the smaller place which wont be as easy as MSG which is a big deal.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2007 2:18 PM

Why do I assume? Call it a good hunch.

However, I won't go as far as to call it a "fact" like you did. And since it is a "fact" that they're playing a smaller show please provide a link that proves this "fact." Hopefully you can finally find one that actually works this time. Otherwise stop wasting space with nonsense that you can't back up.

Posted by germaine | June 28, 2007 3:57 PM

Germaine,
you are a knat in all honesty. A waste of space and a total piece of shit. As for your hunch, it was wrong cause i was the original poster and i never put any link out there. And guess what, i dont give a shit if you believe me or not. Who the fuck are you other than an annoying little toad? But now you have 2 different people posting on here(and im not referring to the guy who put the bogus link) who have inside information that will tell you they are in fact playing another smaller show. Obviously there is no link yet cause it has not been announced. Even an idiot like yourself can figure that one out. But hey continue to disbelieve, flame, make your paranoid hunches etc etc. Hell, go ahead and continue to rejoice in being a loser, it is actually a somewhat admirable quality.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2007 4:10 PM

Again I ask, please provide the proof of this fact. You have yet to do so. I will gladly admit I'm wrong until you provide said facts instead of insults, four letter words, and nonsensical ramblings.

Posted by germaine | June 28, 2007 4:43 PM

they are going to play a smaller, yet to be announced show. i am pretty sure

Posted by joe | June 28, 2007 5:20 PM

It will be announced at an undisclosed time that they will play at a small undisclosed place at an undisclosed time in a far off magical fantasy land.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2007 5:37 PM

Thanks 5:37. We finally have some concrete inside information on this show.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2007 7:53 PM

Yes, and I hear you can pay for it with Monopoly money, which should make 4:10 real happy.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2007 7:59 PM

Is there something wrong with the ticketmaster site today?

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2007 8:09 PM

Apparently its still running but I wasn't able to get it off my desktop at home just on my cel service. Other people in NYC are experiencing it as well but not in other parts of country. I think it might have something to do with Time Warner.

It happened during the time of the cure sale just after 10am. Odd, every other site works except ticketmaster.

Posted by Anonymous | June 28, 2007 8:21 PM

I was not able to access tm about 1 hour after cure tickets went on sale. And I am still not able to - (I use cablevision.)

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2007 12:27 AM

I love silly stupid fucks on here who doubt everything and then scream and bitch and moan when it turns out to be true. They are such simpletons but they are always the ones stuck outside begging and praying for tickets. Dummy losers like germaine, 5:37, and 7:59pm.
You just have to enjoy it and sit back and laugh at them.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2007 12:59 AM

Unusual degree of hostility here. Who knew that The Cure topic would bring out the angry ones.

Posted by Mike L | June 29, 2007 2:10 AM

Actually I am guessing that most people are laughing at these doubters and waiting to see what they say when it turns out to be true. It doesnt seem like anger to me when pointing out people making a horse's ass of themselves

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2007 3:03 AM

Most people are laughing that this guy has nothing better to do at 3:03. Guess he's losing sleep over it.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2007 8:38 AM

Nah man. You have to get up pretty early when you work in sanitation.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2007 8:40 AM

Hah yeah cause posting once at 8:38am and then posting again to make it look like another person at 8:40am is so on point. I guess having worked all night as a janitor, the first thing you want to do when you get home is post on BV

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2007 11:10 AM

All you did was take his same joke and recycle it. Speaking of recycling, did you collect enough cans yet to get a cure ticket?

Posted by domanick from bensonhurst | June 29, 2007 11:24 AM

"All you did was take his same joke and recycle it. Speaking of recycling, did you collect enough cans yet to get a cure ticket?"

Honestly I think he took the joke and topped it. Or at least made him look silly, again.
Speaking of silly, and recycling, using the same tired no money for tickets joke that is already a dead horse by now.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2007 11:46 AM

Yeah, but we know it just bugs the hell out of him that's why its sooo fun. So far he's just been relying on curse words to seem like a little tough guy.

Posted by domanick from bensonhurst | June 29, 2007 12:35 PM

Not to mention him beating a dead horse by joking about our doubts of a smaller cure show. Same deal.

Posted by germaine | June 29, 2007 12:45 PM

True dat

Posted by Tito | June 29, 2007 12:56 PM

Frankly you all are losers going back and forth beating dead horses and trying to one up each other. Though i do think the idea that this guy is mad in some way is pretty ridiculous. He seems to be laughing at you. Why would you think he is mad? Cause he is insulting you? Why would he be mad? I think it was said above at one point that he did not care if you believe him or not. As well, the fact that you keep thinking it is one person looks pretty paranoid anyway.
So just stop it all of of you little children. The fact remains that Madison Square Garden is not a great place to see a show. The fact also remains that it seems there is more than one person on here with inside knowledge of another date that will be announced. So if it shows to be true then some of you will look like fools and if it is not true than the other half will look bad.
Until then, stop being lame.

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2007 12:59 PM

Its a fact because he got the inside information while looking inside the trash can of one of these insiders along his route.

So give it time, he'll be laughing at us all.....any day now......at some time frame.

Posted by domanick from bensonhurst | June 29, 2007 1:35 PM

LOL

Posted by Anonymous | June 29, 2007 6:47 PM
