David Byrne's autistic isn't he? I think he appeared in an asberger's syndrome documentary, so he'll probably never be that good at talking with people.

Oops, I mean Asperger's Syndrome. So he and that guy from the Vines have something to talk about if they ever meet, though I guess they wouldn't want to talk.

i met Byrne taking a leak at a Chili Peppers show at MSG. he seemed nervous then too.

i met david byrne at sxsw and he seemed really laid back and easy to talk to.

I went with a journalist friend of mine to interview the band after a show in the '80s. In the hotel room, the band sat around eating and talking. David was laying under the coffee table. He would answer questions, but never showed his face. Once in a while his hand would come out and reach for the top of the table where room service had placed a platter of little burgers. He would get a burger and proceed to eat it from under the coffee table. Odd dude, but very creative!
