anyone know the deal with tv on the radio sunday? i wanted to go, tryed to rsvp on going.com and it said the list was full. can i still get in without this "list" which has like 3,000 names? shit is confusing, past few free pool shows i was able to just walk right in

yes, you can still get in. the organizers sent out the following email yesterday:

"For this event there will be two lines at the front gate. One line will be for those that RSVPed at going.com/poolpartiesjuly29 and one for general admission.

The RSVP line with operate from 2pm-4:30pm and during that time everyone who RSVPed at going.com/poolpartiesjuly29 will be guaranteed entry into the Pool. At 4:30 the RSVP entrance will be closed and entry will operate solely on a first come first serve basis.

Throughout the day a limited number of people will be allowed into the Pool on a first come first serve basis and if you hadn't RSVPed at going.com/poolpartiesjuly29 your best bet and, only real shot at getting in, is to show up as close to 2pm as possible.

Once capacity for the space has been reached we will operate the line on a one out one in basis."

The Doors are playing? Awesome!

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2007 11:19 AM

Maybe they will play The End? The reformed Doors didn't a few months ago.

In regards to the times. I think its more like the first band comes on at 330ish to 345 and then from there 25-35 minutes in between each set. Band of Horses came on right at 6 last sunday. But Oxford Collapse started at 345

The T-Mobile Sidekick party at Stereo w/Grandmaster Flash Djing and the Yeah Yeah Yeah's playing a tight 50 minute set last night was pretty friggin incredible.

Couldn't believe the place was only at 2/3 or so capacity. Seeing the YYY's about 6 feet away from Karen with only about 200 other folks was definitely the highlight of the weekend if not the month.

Where were you all???

"Where were you all???"
Ummmmm. Sonic Youth @ McCarren. Ridiculously mind-blowing.

Suicide gave a really great performance. Very energetic performance. Songs sounded really fresh and new.
I really can't say anything good about the opener, Deathset.

Simpsons was absolutely fantastic -- far beyond my expectations, and a lot of the jokes were fairly intelligent.

It certainly didn't hurt that I'm from Alsaka :-)

(And for what it's worth, Green Day dies in the second scene in an absolutely hysterical manner)
