Per Fugazi's wikipedia page:

As of July 23, 2007 the members of Fugazi have finalized a deal for a one-off show at Fort Reno Park in Washington, DC to take place Monday, September 3, 2007. This show coincides with the release of Glen Friedman's book as well as the 20th anniversary of Fugazi's first show.

Anyone have a clue ??

That tequilla ad that won't go away on the Spin video page is classy.

isn't that a white stripes tour shirt?

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2007 11:58 AM

Well, Kim certainly falls very... flat vs. Meg White in the looks department.

"Well, Kim certainly falls very... flat vs. Meg White in the looks department."

a.) wow - you're just a huge asshole

b.) you're wrong. every picture of Meg W you've ever seen has been retouched and completely staged, whereas Kim S is a real, accessible human being without celebrity image handlers. Kim is a very pretty young woman.

That said, yeah, Kim's way flat chested, if that's what you're getting at.

its great how this is a post about a 'strange' line-up with controversial band (against me! - the 'sell-outs') and a brooklyn native band who STILL play living rooms and basements across the country, and europe soon...

but we're talking about boobs.

Posted by mmmm | July 26, 2007 1:43 PM

one thing i noticed about kim's drumming is that her drummer face is always smiling, compared to other drummers who look like they're mid-orgasm. it's quite refreshing.

I cannot believe how intense people are about Matt and Kim. When I saw them last week, I was shocked at how into the show the crowd was. I had no idea.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2007 2:02 PM

Can anyone confirm the fugazi post above? If so, I am sooo on way to DC Labor Day weekend.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2007 2:09 PM

kim's hot!

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2007 2:41 PM

Kim looks like she'd beat the biggest lesbian at the bar in an arm wrestling match.

tequila is awesome, best thing about the spin website....

"a brooklyn native band who STILL play living rooms and basements across the country, and europe soon...

but we're talking about boobs."

that's because Matt & Kim are nothing special, so there's really nothing to say about them.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2007 4:18 PM

i wouldn't go as far as saying against me! are sell outs. I'm pretty sure i've never seen them on mtv or herd them on commercial radio. And good for them, its nice to see a good punk rock band getting some spotlight....better then that wanna be punk emo bullshit. and you know what im talking about.

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2007 4:54 PM

against me! toured with mars volta and played several arena shows where tickets costed upwards of $30. you can be sure that they've sold out.

don't get me wrong; i don't mind bands "selling out." get money. i mind it when they obtain a fan base by writing songs about how opposed to selling out they are.

listen to their ep "crime" and re-evaluate that statement.

thats not a very flattering feminine pic. she is attractive but could be mistaken as a guy if the circumstances presented itself ie, dusk

Posted by Anonymous | July 26, 2007 6:20 PM

matt and kim are so cute, shame i missed them at siren. stupid technical difficulties.

Posted by mandy | July 26, 2007 6:35 PM

Chillax, people. Didn't you notice my name?

Posted by that's how I troll | July 26, 2007 7:52 PM

two of my favourite bands touring together
why are people complaining?

Posted by davidbilmas | July 26, 2007 9:04 PM

They're complaining because Matt and Kim are just a footnote this year and will drop off the face of the earth next year.

Posted by Jack W. | July 26, 2007 9:32 PM

""They're complaining because Matt and Kim are just a footnote this year and will drop off the face of the earth next year.""

they've been filling warehouses&basements and having a fucking blast doing it since 2001, what makes the future any different?
the friends theyve made along the way, myself included, is really all they need, with their 550$/month rent and all.

much like politics, art, or any other subject; those who dont know their histories (recent or ancient) really don't know anything and look like morons when they judge

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2007 2:40 AM

Which is why Matt and Kim shouldn't give up their $550/month rent just yet.

Posted by Anonymous | July 27, 2007 8:26 AM

I can understand not particularly liking Matt and Kim and not caring about them - but hating? You've got to just be the bitterest most cynical person on the planet.

Why would anyone hope for them to fail? They're the embodiment of good vibes, good catchy songs, smiling faces, fun shows, etc (if not, perhaps, the originators of any super groundbreaking sound)

Matt and Kim are a fun, party band and super sweet, genuine peeps as well. why hate?

It may be a cliche, but anyone that bitter about a band as friendly and fun as Matt and Kim are has got to just be a jealous old coot. Sorry it wasn't you who achieved their level of success, but dude, don't resent them for it!

Get over it and get a life!

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2007 2:38 AM

Hate? Who said anything about hating them? We're just not ready to start fawning over them like that they're the next big thing like some people here are.

Posted by Anonymous | July 28, 2007 5:22 AM

matt and kim make me vomit. not in a good way.

Posted by Anonymous | July 31, 2007 12:55 PM

THANK YOU FOR THE USEFUL INFORMATION

Posted by AVC CONVERTER | January 28, 2010 3:46 AM
