finally!! and goddammit, why aren't they playing a headlining gig???? i really don't care for msg and i really don't care for the white stripes.

IS that a kids guitar in that "No Pussy Blues" clip?

this is by far one of my favorite albums of the last few years and im not a massive nick cave fan...until now.

i was thinking of flying to san fran just to see them headline.

such a good album, cave never disappoints.

i holding out hope for a headlining gig to be announced because i don't want to pay 50$ for grinderman opening at the msg, if it were a smaller venue i'd justify it with the headlining aspect.

If you think about it Grinderman only have one album so a headlining gig would not be much longer than their opening slot for the White Stripes. And frankly it will be pretty cool to see Nick Cave play the Garden!

Grinderman on Letterman Monday
Porter Wagoner on Wednesday

That show is gonna be a blast! The wife and I waited 'til last week to get tix, and we are all the way in the back of the arena, but it doesn't matter, because it's Porter Wagoner, Grinderman and the White Stripes @ MSG, The World's Greatest Arena!

The line-up reminds of those old Sun Records package tours!

Looking forward to it.

Apparently Nick Cave will be opening for himself for the SF and Chicago club dates - 1 set of Nick Cave & Bad Seeds then on to the Grinderman

Jerry K - i knew that he was doing that for his upcoming Oz tour, but i didn't know that! if it's true then sf and chi are some lucky fuckers.

Saw them in SF at my favorite small club, the Great American last night. Full on, heavy duty rock! Jim Sclavunos' drumming was powerful. Nick played some guitar. The Grinderman stuff was great live. For encores they did Bad Seeds songs:
Red Right Hand
Blixa came on as a guest and sang lead on The Weeping Song
The Ship Song
Jack the Ripper

Henry Rollins and Jello Biafra were in attendance.
A+ show!
