Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2007 8:29 PM
lolz, that's the funniest thing in the world.

"Are you people that dense? Stereogum readers would have caught on."
Quite a few of them didn't figure out that this letter from Avril was fabricated: http://www.stereogum.com/archives/a-letter-from-avril-lavigne-to-you-her-fans.html

"last time i ever check this bullshit blog"
some people really need a sense of humor.
Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2007 10:34 PM
people on the internet are stupid
Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2007 10:50 PM
i feel bad for the person whoever got that tattoo.
how will you explain that in 10 years?
korn sucks (obviously) but arcade fire?
they are rad.
keep writing about good music.
and I praise you for not giving me a MP3 for this lame-o band.
Posted by Anonymous | July 29, 2007 10:53 PM
The Arcade Fire are useless, as well as 90% of purported "indie rock". Not that it's bad compositionally, but tis all boring 1000th generation retreads with obvious influences.
So yes, they suck.
Also, why bitch about the Korn thing? It's a free goddamn show listing. I haven't cared about them since 2001 and I'm going. ITS FUCKING FREE. I need something to make Simpsons movie night more special.
Posted by Chris | July 29, 2007 11:07 PM
Wait, now I'm confused. What's supposed to be the joke, the Korn post or Arcade Fire as a "crappy" band(!)?
Posted by sj | July 30, 2007 12:04 AM
the first two korn cd's were pretty bad ass. To bad a generation of mall metal kids had to follow.
Posted by Anonymous | July 30, 2007 12:05 AM
blunt, obvious, too easy target sarcasm... I mean its funny BV, and the responses of people who missed it are funnier, but was it neccisary? I mean its korn, are they neccisary to be smarmy about, its just kinda mean, those food court kids, its a different world, I mean hell when I was growing up in the suburbs I took what culture I could get, now that meant thinking Jack Kerouac was a genious and going to more Phish shows than I care to admit here, but we've all displayed bad taste at some point, remember when you actually bought the Gwen Stefani CD, or when hanson came back and everyone though they were "good" this time, hell how many people did you see reading harry potter on the subway today, and I know I saw the simpsons last night. and lets not even talk about duran duran or alan alda in MASH. Those poor Korn kids, let them have their fun. They probably think we are the devil anyway.

jeezy creezy, people actually took this seriously?
also, simpsons movie was very good, so shut yr pie hole.

"the first two korn cd's were pretty bad ass. To bad a generation of mall metal kids had to follow."
I agree. The best part about "commercial" band's concerts is the women are always much hotter.
