Liars are set to release their self-titled, fourth studio album on Mute Records on August 28. It’s everything you’d expect from a Liars release (somber, gripping) but so much more. Here’s what front man Angus Andrew had to say about the album recently:

“I’d never felt like a songwriter ‘til this album. If you told me last year Liars would release a record like this, I would have laughed. If you said I’d be playing guitar solos, I’d have called you a liar. We never know what we’re making ‘til it’s made… this time I’m a bit shocked.”

Liars will release first single “Plaster Cast of Everything” on August 14th.
