Thrash pioneers Megadeth have announced their first U.S. headline dates in support of the critically acclaimed Roadrunner Records release United Abominations. The band has just taken Europe by storm, having played across the continent last month to hundreds of thousands at some of the largest and most renowned summer festivals, including Download, Rock IM Park and Rock AM Ring. “We are back and we are serious, and we are coming to see you as soon as we can,” Dave Mustaine commented on Megadeth.com upon returning home this past weekend.

I would gladly pay the 40 to see them at Irving Plaza... If the openers didn't absolutely suck.
