Last night's free, outdoor Shearwater show was moved inside due to inclement weather. More specifically, it was moved to The Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University - the home of Inside the Actors Studio. It all worked out just fine.

how many people were there?

...but more importantly, what did you (BV) think of the show? :)
I'd say there were about 200 people there. Maybe more. They filled up the entire orchestra section of the theatre, but the balcony section was closed off.

apparently that place fits 730 or so at capacity, so i think it was more like 400 at least in that room. pretty much all the seats were full about halfway through.

Awesome show. That band is great. I would definitely say closer to 400 people. Aside from the balcony, the place was pretty much full. They played for a solid hour and sounded s p l e n d i d. Nice way to end the set too.

Wow, what an incredible show. Shearwater's albums are great, but really don't do them justice in terms of how fantastically talented they are. The show was probably 10X better in the concert hall than it would've been outside - you could hear a pin drop in there. There was no place for a single sound to hide, which may have spelled disaster for a less talented group of musicians. The entire place seemed mesmerized. One of the best shows I've seen in quite some time.
