Land of Talk playing Canada Day in London - June 29, 2007 (CRED)

Catch Land of Talk @ Citysol & Summerstage....

After a whirlwind of praise for 2006's 'Applause Cheer Boo Hiss,' Montreal's Land of Talk unveil their debut video. Singer Elizabeth Powell told Spinner, "It's as if the artist gave up on his/her own work. The audience revives the art with the simple act of viewing." Director Jeffrey St. Jules adds, "It's a rock song, not a song made with computer generated sounds ... Both the song and the video have a raw, scrappy aesthetic" [Spinner]
Note the new drummer. Now I'm just waiting for a new song.

I'm really looking forward to the Citysol events, especially the sets by Besnard Lakes, Land of Talk and Les Savy Fav.

According to Land of Talk's myspace page, they are also playing 9/8 at Bowery Ballroom! Bowery's website lists Cloud Cult on 9/8 as well.

Does that mean Land of Talk is opening for em??? It would be great! They did both play together at Mercury Lounge during CMJ last year.
