VIDEOS: Tegan & Sara - 'Back in Your Head', behind-the-scenes + full album stream

Tegan & Sara's 'The Con' is a great album. I don't love-it-love-it, but I've been listening to it more than anything else - and I think it keeps getting better and better - some of the songs are really catchy. Here are all the videos associated with the album so far....
'Back in Your Head'
Canada's folk-punk twins Tegan and Sara unveil the first video from their infectious new record, 'The Con,' exclusively on Spinner. 'Back in Your Head' -- directed by fellow Canadian Jamie Travis -- finds the pair performing in a talent show to a zombie-like crowd decked out in balaclavas. "I have clung to the theme of escape, a general ambience of eeriness and, more specifically, [Sara's] fixation on balaclavas," Travis tells Spinner. Good luck getting this song, well, out of your head. Yeah, we went there. [Spinner]Stream the whole new album @ Spinner too (and @ MySpace), and here are three behind-the-scenes videos...

Webster Hall is now sold out too. All Tegan & Sara tour dates here.

Yeah, I feel ya. I didn't like T&S all that much before, but they grow on you.

according to ticketmaster, webster hall tickets are still on sale... they're just not available on ticketweb at all so you have to be redirected to tm, but i just searched for tickets and it popped up. i have tickets for hiro next week and webster hall so i'm pretty pumped :)

This album is surprisingly delightful. I liked bits and pieces of So Jealous. They kind of bored me live though, saw them at that free summerstage show two years back.

the hair, the tats, the horrible urban outfitters clothes, how paint by numbers hipster. sad, because the con is so catchy, yet they present themselves as so typical.

I didn't like it at first because it's not as instantly catchy as So Jealous, but I will give it time and hope it grows on me.

Josef,
Here's a tip: stop thinking about it so hard. Grow up and appreciate the chicks for playing good music.

I love them because they are so typical. They're extraordinarily real, and genuinely talented. I used to dislike their music because it seemed very bland to me, and seriously thought they had the most annoying voices, but they slowly grew on me until I saw them live awhile a few weeks ago and they blew my mind, not just because of the performance but their sincerely open attitude.

yeah, i gotta say that i've met them before and they were SUPER nice... not a fake nice, like oh my gawd my publicist makes me act nice, but a real humble normal nice. i think their appearance is irrelevant to their music and personalities, but frankly, i can see why they try (or prefer) to look like indie kids... would you want to be lumped in with lisa loeb?

Question: How else should they dress? In black leather, or flowery dresses, or bow ties and white shoes? Totally serious question... how is someone supposed to dress so they are atypical? I thought the same thing as Josef, but I can't answer my own question. Is this generation full of contrarians or malcontents? That is my question.

StopCrying et al -
I wish I didn't care about the visuals and all the ancillery that goes into being a fan, but I can't only just get a record, hear the music and say viola.
BUT in re-reading my comments, they were petty. This record is good, shows pop-esque talent, and I wish them well.
Carry on...

i totally understand when people say that they are boring live....its just that they seem to beleive that they are still in their studio.
Dont get me wrong they are awsome and really nice girls but somehow everytime i catch their act its.....blah blah......i mean listening to the cd and watching my girlfriend dance around in her panties would be more entertaining......alls im saying is cheeeeeezzzz wake up and smile girls.....you look spacey on stage!Have fun!

I love their style. Urban edgie. Very Shane-ish!
They will be great in a few years. More adult and sexy.
Their music has something. But sometimes I wonder about the "production money making machine" behind those 2 girls...

Josef,
How sad that all you can focus on is their apparent "image". You can tell that these two are very genuine and just being themselves. I think the only hipster here is you.
