¡Forward, Russia's new songs to have actual ¡titles!

Forward Russia News from a band we haven’t heard from in a while: “¡Forward, Russia! returned to the UK last week, after spending two and a half months in Seattle recording their eagerly anticipated second album.” Wow, in the U.S. for two and a half months? Continued below….

The follow up to their UK chart-busting debut, Give Me a Wall, is scheduled for release in the early months of 2008. The album, entitled Life Processes, was recorded at various studios in Seattle and produced by Matt Bayles, best known for his work on the most recent Mastodon album, along with the Blood Brothers and Isis. The band unveiled one song from the album recently during an interview on Seattle’s KEXP radio station.

In a departure from their earlier work, ¡Forward, Russia! have revealed that all songs from Life Processes will have actual titles, instead of numbers, as previously had been the case. Full details of the track listing will be released shortly, though it has been confirmed that their most recent UK single Don’t Be a Doctor, will not be included on the album.

After shows this past weekend at the Leeds Festival & London’s Get Loaded in the Park, the band have lined up a further number of British dates where they plan to preview tracks from the new record, including Oxford’s Truck Festival, which had been postponed due to inclement weather. The band were unable to play the original dates due to their US recording commitments. Full details of the more extensive UK tour the Leeds’ combo has planned for later in the year should be available shortly.
