Last time I saw Gogol Bordello in NYC, was at Irving Plaza. Last time I saw Gogol Bordello anywhere, was in Norway. Both shows were great, and in Norway I took a bunch of pictures which I'll post some time before I die hopefully. In the meantime, here's one of my favorites:

Sweet! I missed the last shows in NYC so I'm def. going to this one. Plus the new venue should be interesting.

Duuude...Gogol Bordello I discovered them when they opened for Manu Chao several years ago in Central Park. Definitely preferred Manu though, I’m really excited that Manu's, “La Radiolina”. You can peep the new music at www.myspace.com/manuchao

"Nice, ironic moustache. Douchebag. Douchestache."

Why is it ironic?

"Nice, ironic moustache. Douchebag. Douchestache."

he's a wacky slav. he's all about that mustache.
You either love him or not, but don't diss the mustache.

plus he'd probably kick your scrawny ass if you dissed him to his face

This band is excellent.

Excellent band. Love it.
Very authentic and brutally honest.

Why is it difficult for venues to run a coat check line?

I got to the venue just as Gogol Bordello started playing, and the line for the coat check was 30+ long. Just because 1 window works at the Bowery Ballroom, doesn't mean it will work at a venue that is 5-6 times bigger.

and what about AFTER the show? When Terminal 5 management locked us in. Then, finally, open one, ONE, freakin door for all those people to exit through. There was actually a security guy holding closed the other of the double-door set and when told people were trying to get out he said "they'll just have to wait." Oh, the other great thing: the doors are at the end of long narrow hallways. The design does not work for a music venue.

I foresee disaster if that's the way they treat people and do things. I guarantee you someone's going to get trampled or squashed in a panic.
