HILLY 4EVER (pics from outside CBGB)
DOWNLOAD: Nico - Janitor of Lunacy (live at CBGB, March 8, 1979 (MP3)

Photos taken by beau.unruh - outside CBGB in NYC on August 29, 2007 - the day word got out that CBGB founder Hilly Kristal had passed away the day before.
I did a similar post the morning after CBGB closed last year, and there was a similar shrine outside CB's when Joey Ramone died.

RESPECT for the man who gave original, non-commercial music its venue, both literally and figuratively.

he told me to fuck off a few years ago.
Posted by Anonymous | August 30, 2007 4:58 PM
he didn't even have the decency to tell me to fuck off; he had someone who worked for him tell me to fuck off
