Mates of State - 2007 Tour Dates (CMJ, Annex, Joe's Pub!, acoustic) ++ recording new album

Mates of State are working on a new album. They just "recorded 3 songs with Chris Walla at Tiny Telephone, and later on we'll be recording with Jim Eno, Peter Katis, and Bill Racine, among others, in various locales." They're also "trying out some new songs and re-arranging some old ones in the acoustic configuration" at the following intimate shows:

Brian, why do you ask? Simply because Christopher posted a link to his blog, the name of which is inspired by a Smiths song, in his signature, does not mean he's making a connection between The Smiths and Mates of State.
