Morrissey @ The Borgata in Atlantic City - July 24, 2007 (CRED)
Morrissey @ The Borgata

I guess Morrissey wants to make up for the mess that was a a bunch of cancelled dates including one at the too-big MSG in NYC (and his related health problems). Not only is he coming back to NYC this year to play some shows, he's playing FIVE of them, and all at the much-smaller-than-MSG Hammerstein Ballroom. It's funny how in a different context, Hammerstein Ballroom can suddenly seem attractive (feel free to disagree). And NYC are not the only lucky ones. He's also playing FOUR nights in San Francisco, and TEN nights in Los Angeles, and a few single shows in other parts of North America as well. All tour dates below....

This is gonna be pretty awesome. And you're right, Hammerstein's looking like a great venue right about now. Any word on when they go on sale?

Better sales strategy as Moz obsessives will attend multiple nights.

how was camp bisco?

Posted by kid | August 19, 2007 8:37 PM

Jesus, guys... we don't like your stupid jam band. Get over it. I'm sure there's plenty of other sites you can go to to hear about the show. BV doesn't write about Maroon 5 either.

he's gonna get bad food poisoning in mexico and have to cancel all the dates....

Seriously guys - Hammerstein Ballroom is a terrible venue and you know it. I'll wait for Morrissey's farewell tour in a couple of years. Fingers crossed he plays the Misshapes party...

So pumped for Moz, the Atlantic City show was in a comparable venue size wise and was so lovely. HATE HATE HATE Kristeen Young though, wish she would go away.

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2007 9:02 AM

http://tour.morrissey-solo.com/tour/2007/

if you go on this site, you can see setlists from the 2007 tour..on the shows I saw, he provided a nice mix of smiths songs along with new material and his solo works from the 89-94 era..

He's playing the Fillmore in SF??? That's almost worth flying out there for!

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2007 10:40 AM

If tickets cost $70+ (after fees) again, I may not bother. Yeah, I know, my loss. BOO-FUCKING-HOO.

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2007 11:34 AM

Hey Steve, there were other bands at Camp Bisco other than the Disco Biscuits... amon tobin, future rock, the afromotive, bassnectar, etc. Don't hate against people that dance at shows.

Posted by AtSteve | August 20, 2007 11:52 AM

he should do NYC first. then he can't have that vocal-problem-from-over-touring excuse when he finally gets there. :P

Tickets are 65$.

Wow...

for those who plan on going all five nights, they are releasing a package deal where you can buy a ticket for every night for only $200.00 which is a $125 savings.. this also gives you early admission to all five shows..

true-to-you.net for more info..

pretty amazing deal if you ask me and more then makes up for MSG..

Posted by Anonymous | September 6, 2007 10:01 AM

I've been trying since 10 AM, and I just got two floor tickets for Hammerstein after getting that "tickets aren't available" screen over and over. So keep trying.

Hi all,

Anyone knows about the "Offer Code" for the tickets at NYC this month?

Where it comes from? How can you get it? Or much more better: what is the code?

Posted by Interesting Drug | October 2, 2007 3:17 PM

I tried from 10am the morning the Hammerstein tix went onsale and periodically til now, plus tried using Amex concierge (who normally has access to ticketmaster inventory) and never was able to get one of the 5 night bundled tickets. Was anyone actually able to buy one of these? I suspect they didn't really make them available to sell... I just bought single ticket for 10/26. I'm going to be so pissed if the water main breaks that night...

Posted by ticketmaster sucks | October 4, 2007 11:28 AM

I got the five night package the second they were on sale..only about 200 available so pretty tough to obtain one.

Posted by Anonymous | October 4, 2007 11:48 AM

the passord is PNC..

I just tried it and it works..
