Stevie was awesome in the 60's and even better in the 70's.....He put out some of the best albums ever in the 1970's:
Innervisions
Talking Book
Songs in the Key of Life
Fulfillingness' First Finale
Get these albums!
its a shame that he's only remembered for the 80's cheese

I'm going to be on the road and have no chance to catch any of these shows, and I'm furious at myself about missing him. I saw Stevie in Hart Plaza (downtown Detroit) at a free show. It was one of the top ten concerts I've ever seen. He was absolutely amazing. If you have any way to make it to one of these, I highly recommend doing it, no matter the cost.

I'm a Cleveland to Seattle transplant, and will see him in Woodinville [at least]. The last time I saw Stevie live was at the 1996 New Orleans Essence Festival. He closed the mainstage show on the second [of 3 nights]. He closed his set with "Another Star," and to this day, though it may sound morbid, I can not say the same about ANY 'experience' before or since: the joy, the transcendence, the spirit he radiated lifted me [and the rest of the folks] to Cloud 9, and had me floating out of the Superdome with this thought looping over and over and over in my head: "if I died this minute..."

The Boston show sold out in seconds. I was online the minute they went on sale, and no seats were availible. Scalpers and corperations keep real fans from being able to see Stevie Wonder. I'm a student and can't afford to pay those jerks $600 and up for a ticket.

All I can say is that I Thank God, the Almighty One who created all of us, the earth, the stars, etc. that I'm living to witness His most awesome display of Human Blessing!! Stevie Wonder is truly a gift from the Heavenly Father! Like many, I'm drawn to Stevie because of his "not-enough-words-to-describe" musical genius. The more I allow myself to be moved by the Spiritual Experience of his live musical and singing performances, I feel drawn a little closer to God. In fact, an earlier post says this about how the miracle we know as Stevie made him feel: "if I died this minute..." (Thanks Bryan!) I'll see Stevie in Baltimore for what has to be my tenth time over the years. For those of you who haven't received the Stevie Wonder experience, don't let life as we know it end without reaching this awesome spirit from God!!

Saw Stevie's Saturnigh' Harvey's Lake Tahoe stopover, mainly because Concord Pavillion was sold out. Went with a lifelong friend who said experiencing Stevie "was like going to church" for her! When you've got classic jam after classic jam in the audio arsenal, what else could be expected? Unlike those ecstaticly reverential crowds moi was part of for '73's "Talking Book" & '86's "In Square Circle" tours, crowd was mostly "touristy" in nature. So lifelong Stevie fans got to witness him having to actually work the crowd! Which he chided after he performed "Signed, Sealed, & Delivered"(the jam that saved his Motown career waay back-in-da-day, remember?). "I see a lotta y'all are country-n-western fans out there", Stevie noted, & then proceeded to play a c-&-w version of "S. S. & D."! Mayhap it was because of that "touristy" vibe, but "Livin' For the City" was presented in truncated form(no "New York, just like I pictured it, skyscrapers & ever'thang" middle section, nor bitter finale verses). But he did unleash a scorching instrumental version of Chick Corea's "Spain" towards the end of his two-hour set! No encore, & no horn section this time around! But his daughter Aiesha(of "Isn't She Lovely" fame, & she certainly is) is now a member of his WonderLove back-up singers! Tight, killer band nonetheless! Crowd, for the most part, was mellow & in par-tay mode. Not as overly boisterous as in decades past, when Stevie concerts really were like goin' to church! But that mattered not to all those exiting fans who left with ear-to-ear grins into that mellow Tahoe Saturevenin'!!!

I can't believe I have tickets to the Portland Show. It sold out in 10 minutes. From reading the LA Times review on the opening show in San Diego, it seems the 70's material will be given justice. 3 days and counting.

How I wish he would tour Europe as well... Coz he should! There's so many that would die to see him live in person. Wish he thought about the huge European fans or maybe plan a Global Trip after this not too far from now.

I am soooo pissssseeeddd!!!!! I took today off from work, cause they announced a second show in Boston, to get tickets. Only to find out one day later that it has been cancelled. Not only could I not get tickets for the original show cause it sold out in like 5 minutes, due to the scalpers and other corporate a holes, but I am losing money from not working today. I will still be at the Thursday show, and will undoubtedly pay through the nose for tix from scalpers, only because I am a huge Stevie fan and may never get this chance again. I just think that it sucks. Sorry, just wanted to get that off of my chest.

The best concert by any musical artist I've ever attended was Stevie Wonder's concert at the Hula Bowl in Honolulu in 1982. If Stevie schedules a concert in Atlanta or Nashville, I'd be willing to mortgage the house to see and hear him.

I am requesting a copy of the fingerprints of Stevie Wonder for my study. Visit my web site to see what I have learned about the fingerprints of Malcolm X. Dr. MLK's fingerprints and the fingerprints of Dr. Einstein are also at my site.

I attended the show in Charlotte, NC on 11/28/07. I have been to many concerts...this was better than the best...better than all the rest. The guy is truly phenomenal. But when he stood and sang atop of his piano seat without assistance, I feared he might fall. Truly a genius and so articualte. He is compassionate to the point that even though he doesn't have eyesight, he has vision that supercedes the average person to the nth degree. I gazed at the jumbotron at his hands and they just looked as if they were chiseled (by God)in order to play piano, organ, harmonica, drums and whatever. I realize that Hohner fully endorses him playing their instruments. I noticed he had a big tummy and hope he will exercise more and eat properly. His voice is powerful and phenomenal. I've never seen people come together in the manner that they were mesmerized by Stevie for nearly three hours non stop (the guy didn't even break a sweat!!!).
