KalaSometimes Bed-Stuy-resident & spiderwoman M.I.A. did it again. Her new album Kala is streaming at MySpace, and I'm loving it (and the Japanese bonus tracks you'll find on the Japanese version of the album) (and the Pixies cover I first heard live at Siren). You can buy it officially next week.

The new Bowery Presents music venue Terminal 5 doesn't open until early October, but you can get tickets to M.I.A.'s October 19th show - and all the announced T5 shows - at 10am.

I just went on TicketSolutions.com to look for tix for the Shins at T5 and it said that tix were $170 and $115. I'm hoping it was just an error and that they're actually $17 and $11.50. Are they serious?

Posted by Bill | August 17, 2007 9:00 AM

tickets for the Shins at T5 on Ticketmaster are $39.50..National tix are on $20.00..nice!

Can someone please give an update about tonight's show? I'm on the e-mail list for River-to-River but they haven't sent out any info re. a rain location, and it's raining right now. I know they announced a rain location for last night's show; anyone know what it usually is?

Posted by hating the weather... | August 17, 2007 4:30 PM

"Can someone please give an update about tonight's show?"

You lazy fuck, just go down to the venue. If the show is on, then enjoy it. If it's canceled, just grab a beer nearby. It's Friday night for chrissakes. Remember how many people skipped the Spoon show because they couldn't get last minute info if it was canceled or not? Just go! Don't people take showers everyday? Rain is just water.

Besides, there is no rain loacation for Pier 17 shows. Ask any Ted Leo fan.
