you, no you! (Eddie Argos & Craig Finn)
Eddie ArgosCraig Finn

I love both of these bands, so I mean it in the nicest way when I say that this is the ultimate pairing of indie rock bands for dudes. I picture lots of beer and high-fives, and a lot of really great lyrics...

"We are super happy to be touring with Art Brut," said frontman Craig Finn. "I believe Eddie Argos to be one of the finest current lyricists in Rock. I believe he completely understands the place for both humor and honesty in Rock 'N' Roll."
Art Brut also plays a few U.S. dates by themselves in September. Then the big tour starts in October, and ends at the new Terminal 5 venue in NYC on November 21st. All tour dates below....

Does anyone know if you can pick up Terminal 5 tickets at the Mercury Lounge box office? Ticketmaster is brutal.

i remember when i was younger, at certain sporting events the fans would start chanting "overrated" at certain players. this tour makes me remember those times.

Second best touring pairing of the year behind Arcade Fire & LCD Soundsystem. Should be a phenomenal show.

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2007 3:27 PM

And there is chatter about 1990s (the band) being the third band on this bill....a real lads' night out, eh?

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2007 4:01 PM

me likey talky singy

Posted by EJ | August 20, 2007 4:11 PM

I have to applaud Bowery Presents for actually making me want to trek out to Terminal 5 a few times. I was skeptical that this would be the case.

"hold steady need to work on a new set...ive seen the same show like 3 times now"

same with AB; if I hear him talk about being in love with the idea of being in love with emily kane, or demanding that I form a band, I'm leaving.

Posted by Anonymous | August 20, 2007 6:41 PM

I've only seen each of these bands once and both just in the last two months, so I am not tired of the same old set yet. In fact, I just about soiled my pants at the moment I read this news. PARTY SHOW OF THE YEAR!!!...?

Posted by Elwood D. Pennypacker | August 20, 2007 6:47 PM

Ok, so Art Brut doesn't change their set that much... and they say the same things again and again... but I'll still be there. Each show gets better and better!
