The Mugs at Union Hall

Brooklyn's very own The Mugs have a new album out called 'Here Tomorrow', and the DIY band is streaming that very album at their own website, and to celebrate they'll be partying it up tonight (8/25) at Union Hall in Park Slope w/ The Diggs and Condo. If you live in Chicago, check them out on September 28th with Small Sins.

Small Sins are awful. Do they sound like them?

"Small Sins are awful. Do they sound like them?"

Why don't you stream the album and find out?

it's an unwritten requirement in the music biz that bands who are booked for shows together must sound exactly alike.

Actually, 11:34am, it's not. The NYC norm is closer to bands that are booked together by careless/busy promoters who haven't listened much to the music; that's why on an evening's bill, you get a twee indie band in front of a pop band backed by metal band. Roll 'em together for fun!
Although the Rock and a Hard Place guy does a decent job of grouping like-minded bands.
