If you go on google maps street view I see an a big hole where a building should be:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=61+W+56th+St,+New+York,+NY+10019,+USA&sll=40.76668,-73.97481&sspn=0.010889,0.019956&layer=c&ie=UTF8&ll=40.768939,-73.976226&spn=0.010888,0.026994&z=16&om=1&cbll=40.76344,-73.977194&cbp=2,28.759003215434333,0.5,0

what is up with this "terminal 5?"

I did some googling and thought they were playing in an old terminal at JFK - strange, but atleast something interesting/new. I love airports.

Does anyone know the capacity of this new place?

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2007 1:18 PM

$39.50 before fees for the shins? give me a break.

Posted by Anonymous | August 13, 2007 1:48 PM

Yeah that's a bit expensive. Are they playing lots of their new (not so good) album?

Posted by Eduardo | August 13, 2007 2:05 PM

$39 for the Shins is a lot?
Come on. Its better than $250 for the Police.

Thanks for the presale link, BV. Just bought my presale ticket and put the show up on my site for Upcoming Events.

"$39 for the Shins is a lot?

That's like saying contracting herpes is better than dying of ebola.

the shins though the albums are brilliant live they are shideous. what a joke! is this what they are a nerdy(i know that's too much credit already), mostly collegiate and white, preppy crowd gave their songs a very pop sheen that smells of sell-out.
this was the most disappointing show i can recollect. they lacked passion, verve, heart and soul. no dynamics w/the band between each other or the audience and it felt like a high-school dance band.
awful is the only way to putit.
DO NOT SEE THE CHINZ LIVE!!!! You've been warned.
