Unkle - 2007 Tour Dates
Following a successful summer run of high-profile shows overseas including headlining the mainstage at Benicassim in Spain after Muse and the Glade Festival in Reading, U.K., UNKLE has announced it will come to North America this October for a short run of tour dates. Spearheaded by frontman James Lavelle, UNKLE for the first time ever will make its appearance as a live band. Utilizing guitars, bass, drums and synths set against a backdrop of intricate lights and AV screens for a one-of-a-kind audiovisual experience, UNKLE will perform material from their new album War Stories, as well as selections from the two previous UNKLE releases Psyence Fiction and Never, Never, Land. that band backing them is big in japan - (ie lake trout) so excited for this. though his albums bore me minus psyence fiction

Any idea where to get tickets? Ticketweb has ticket for one of their CA shows, but no NY shows...?
Its mentioned in another post that its timed to coincide with CMJ....Not sure what that means for getting tix though

Hey Claire - they may not be on sale yet..Unkle is listed as a performer at CMJ so this would be part of the marathon..usually you can buy tickets to those type of events through normal channels ie ticketweb and are not required to have a badge to get in..

Great - thanks Anonymous, Ticketmaster lists ontario and illinois, ticketweb lists somewhere else...its on the bowery presents website, so I'll keep an eye on it there....

Claire - if you are not already on the bowery presents mailing list, you should sign up for it..they give plenty of advance notice for when shows are going on sale..
