it was stunningly boring.

Posted by michael | August 28, 2007 10:38 AM

not mind blowing, but it was a lot of fun to see all those people together, clearly having fun and dressed in white. Letterman looks confused

he probably wants a sandwich

It's like "We are the world" for indie music

I recognize Cat Power! No, wait, Edie Brickell? And the Polyphonic New Bohemians? Naw, just kidding, you're awesome Feist.

yay, Nicole Atkins!

Posted by modage | August 28, 2007 11:15 AM

At the risk of being scolded for not knowing this, who is the brunette sharing the mic with Kori Gardner from Mates of State?

Posted by Bao | August 28, 2007 11:16 AM

"yay, Nicole Atkins!"

I guess... nevermind.

Posted by Bao | August 28, 2007 11:20 AM

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2007 11:20 AM

looks like everyone's having fun, but the song is kind of vanilla.

Posted by triangle, motherfucker! | August 28, 2007 11:23 AM

Posted by mark | August 28, 2007 11:23 AM

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2007 11:24 AM

Vincent D'Onofrio on banjo....

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2007 12:00 PM

holy shit i hope thats not my ex girlfriend in the front row because she probably would do something like this just to get back at me (she'd never even heard of feist before she met me)

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2007 12:08 PM

OMG..that's Ralph Malph on the slide whistle!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2007 12:21 PM

Yo that dude playin' banjo must be expecting a serious FLOOD!!

he's wearing some high-waters from the 70's!!! those pants are almost short enough to be Capris!

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2007 12:25 PM

Colin wasn't invited and that makes me want to write some vicious emails and attack journalists cause that's what i do!

Posted by Colin Meloy's Girlfriend | August 28, 2007 12:39 PM

the guy on the trumpet really stole the show for me.

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2007 12:41 PM

Posted by RANA Rocks! | August 28, 2007 12:45 PM

any idea on set times for tomorrow??????

Posted by peppy | August 28, 2007 12:47 PM

Only on second viewing did I notice everyone's wearing those glittery colored armbands. wild.

Posted by Luke | August 28, 2007 12:54 PM

I think "Scott" is one of the guys from the National-- does look like him though! :)

Posted by A Roach | August 28, 2007 1:00 PM

i see scott, brian and aaron from the national
amid ed, chris and chris and dan with the clear glasses

I think that in the back right was jason from MOS standing with chris and ed

in the middle in the back is AC newman and a guy with a red beard who is in BSS but I forget his name

next to them are brian and scott

the front row is a bit harder for me. SO many blonde girls I don't recognize!
But I did see kevin drew and the other half of grizzly and aaron in the front

I know what your thinking , is that my ex girlfriend in the front row? I cant tell either. Seems like something she would do though right ? Just to get back at me? Because she'd never even heard of fiest before she met me. So now she goes and becomes friends with the canadian songstress just to appear on lettermen so i could see it on youtube and then flip the fuck out? I dont have cable, and she knows this, and so she knew i would have to wait till i was at work and would have to see it on youtube, and that the low quality of the video wouldnt be discernable if it was her or not. WHAT A BITCH HUH?

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2007 1:13 PM

pitchfork party = lame

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2007 1:19 PM

anon @ 1:19

you doing something more fun? Seems like you are a just bitching anonymously on BV, but let me know if you are having a bunch of musicians over for a sing along...looks like fun to me.

Posted by Anonymous | August 28, 2007 1:47 PM

mistaking being cool with immature insults = lame

Posted by D | August 28, 2007 4:18 PM

Does it look to anyone else like Kori might be pregnant again?!

Posted by Happinessiseasy | August 28, 2007 4:21 PM

photos from the rehearsal are up here if anyone is interested:

it was awesome

happinessiseasy:
yeah i'm pretty sure she is, if i'm thinking of the right person

Posted by jason | August 28, 2007 8:25 PM

Kori Gardner from Mates of State. She's the blonde with the purple armbands on the front row center. I remember they went touring when she was pregnant with their first child (Bubs!), so it wouldn't surprise me.

Posted by happinessiseasy | August 28, 2007 11:18 PM

happinessiseasy:

yeah that's her. preggers.

Posted by jason | August 29, 2007 1:50 AM

Wow, she sounds like every other female singer-songwriter out there. So insanely boring. Dear lord. Suzanne Vega is a fucking revolution compared to this sap. Get with the program folks, this chick is alot of hype, no substance.

Posted by Anonymous | August 29, 2007 11:32 PM

yup!!!always hype!
