Wes' Weekly Hip Hop News Roundup (August 3, 2007)
DOWNLOAD The Gift of Gab - Way of the Light (feat VURSATYL of Lifesavas) (MP3)
DOWNLOAD Guru ft Common - Clarity (MP3)
DOWNLOAD Atmosphere - Sunshine (MP3)
The Atmosphere song is from the latest installment in their limited edition "Sad Clown" series: "Sad Clown Bad Summer Accompanied by Piano". Common's new Finding Forever is an interesting album. It's getting really mixed reviews from really great, to mediocre, to worst album of his career. What do you think?

MUSIC
- Download alleged demo tapes by 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G. here.
- Listen to the decent but overrated Lil'Wayne do pretty well over a mediocre Dr. Dre beat.
- JesusPiece shares a bunch of lesser known Clipse tracks, and a track by Havoc and one by Termanology.
- The seemingly permanently shelved M.O.P. is still awesome. Check out some tracks.
- Recommended: the surprisingly good Mally album, made available for free. I hadn't ever heard of him but it's worth the download.
- Finally, Coffee - Aesop Rock (ft. John Darnielle).
- Ol' Dirty Bastard brother made a documentary about him. Check out the trailer.
- Common performed The People live on Jay Leno.
- Finally a current Hip Hop artist aside from Kanye West going outside the standard Hip Hop video format. I'm not a huge Chamillionaire fan, but these videos are pretty great. Cham plays several different characters, including a Bill O'Reilly clone and a police officer with a Sabotage-like moustache. And a Slick Rick guest spot! With a mini-fro! Check them out over at NahRight
