FYI...
My roomate works for River to River, and the National have cancelled for tomorrow night!! Lead singer has vocal issues. Show will go on with Takka Takka and the other band. This is going to upset a lot of people. They were expecting the biggest turn out of the summer.

Info?

their newsletter was sent out this morning about all the happenings in the world of the national and mentioned tonight's show as still taking place..I'd be truely gutted if they cancel!
Posted by Anonymous | August 17, 2007 9:59 AM
The National play all the time in NYC, it's not so bad if they cancel.
Posted by Anonymous | August 17, 2007 10:05 AM
lets hope if they do cancel they can get another good band in there on short notice. already seen national this year opening for arcade fire. i dont know where people get the idea this would pull the biggest crowd of the year. i think no way in hell will they top animal collective, or battles/deerhunter when that goes down.
