Yeasayer

Warning: The above Yeasayer MP3's may lead to addiction. And since those far and wide have already started taking notice, I guess I should consider myself extremely lucky that Yeasayer and I call the same borough of NYC home (hint: Brooklyn). It's a borough in a city that we also share with another catchy outfit that's blowing up right up now. That's right: Vampire Weekend, and that's exactly who they're playing with at the new Music Hall of Williamsburg on September 8, 2007 (bonus = The Harlem Shakes are also on that bill).

CONTEST: I have two pairs of tickets to give away to the above mentioned Brooklyn show. The first and the 30th person to email BVCONTESTS@HOTMAIL.COM (subject: Yeasayer), WIN.

Yeasayer is also playing Cake Shop in Manhattan on on September 27th with Shapes & Sizes AND The Forms, and all the following tour dates....

My husband and I saw Yeasayer at Union Hall earlier this summer opening for Enon. They were AMAZING!! If you have a chance to catch them live, you must!

this show will, without a doubt, rock.

I saw Yeasayer open for Entrance at Don Pedro's at the beginning of the summer and they were great. Just wish that hadn't been sold out of their album.

i saw them play with mgmt a month ago, they were both awesome. MGMT's upcoming record is brilliant.

bv you're getting pretty slow at discovering bands. my yeasayer addiction came and went like 4 months ago.

yo 1:46, why don't you actually plunk down some money for an album instead of stealing music.

The Bowery Presents email I got this evening says this show is sold out; but when I go to ticketmaster I can still get tickets. What does this mean? Is it almost sold out then? I am waiting for someone to get back to me but don't know if I will lose out.

Experts please respond, be as caustic as you wish but provide some info...

just got back from this show. Everyone was great, Yeasayer was definitely worth getting there early for. Harlem Shakes had a guest performer from Arcade Fire on french horn/trumpet.

As for VW, whole different thing for them, they're rock stars now. Boy that was quick.
